i love him, watched so many shows with him. you will love him in love you seven times and moonlight!!!! intense…
Not really magical powers, but he's a martial arts expert, so he does a fair amount of bad-ass stunts and fighting. And he's so good at it. His fighting in this drama is so aggressive, much more than I've seen with other historic CDramas.
The intrigue is okay, but difficult to follow because the writers withhold details for too long, so it's normal to feel lost. Just accept that you might not understand what's happening from episode 3 - 17 with the plot, it feels all over the place.
But he is SO GOOD in this drama, it's 100% worth watching just for him. He looks older, taller, stronger, and is often stoic/dismissive. He falls for her slowly and she is oblivious to his feelings. Thus, he gets hurt/frustrated a few times but doesn't say anything and it's super adorable. All in all, it was a good look for him. :-)
He does. She doesn't think he's an option and therefore forces herself to (or tries to) think of him with indifference / as a colleague. She distances herself over and over, pragmatically attempting to avoid catching feelings since he told her "you'll never be my real wife." Meanwhile, he quickly falls completely in love with her. He falls first and he falls harder.
Iām rewatching from the beginning so I can see the ML in his hot villain era again and so I can figure out what the heck is going on with the plotā¦
I don't understand why this drama isn't more highly rated. I really love both the ML and FL and the acting is solid. The production value is fine, music is fine, story is fine. I wish our main couple had more non-mystery scenes together, but otherwise no complaints. It's a lot of fun and the chemistry is SO GOOOOOOOD. Ding Yu Xi communicates so much with just his eyes. Reading these comments to see if I should watch this drama and I do not think the word āfeminismā means what yāall think it means. Literally, it just means equal rights, and youāre out here using it as a synonym for āoppression and mistreatment of men.ā
Ok but both of their characters here (per the description here) sounds like childish messes. š š Otherwise…
We can't have a character arc if they've already got everything figured out at the beginning of the show. I have no problem with selfish characters at the start of a show (or book, or film, or whatever) as long as they change by the end of it.
