What is so good about it? I struggle to get through, and I wonder if I should keep trying. I love good thriller,…
it's not really good at all if you ook at the comments it's a lot of girls in love with JCW raving about him/it. It has such a far fetched and ridiculous plot.
Like let's make a gritty dark gang drama,
ok but we have to have a love triangle and a weak and stupid FL.
Ok but we can throw in a lot of violence and depressing ending so people will be distracted from the cliche core.
at the end when he visits the grave, he puts his wedding ring down right? after he see's his wife has left the…
of course he felt that I mean she was reliving her first love she was cheating on him to his face right to the end, it was really a high school love triangle wrapped in a gang movie
Her character and her story was the whole point of the drama. And it was dumb IMO. Simple version she still loved…
exactly when she found her first love her priority shifted away from husband to ex. She couldn't cope with husband turning dark but was happy to help ex return from being dark (also he was a Gangster portrayed as misunderstood nice guy.) In many scenes she clearly showed feelings and said things to and about ex that were not neccessary but instead reflected her feelings. Also she kept the necklace and repeatedly wore it in front of husband even when not "undercover". At the end when the guns are pulled she instinctively looks panick stricken toward her husbands gun not the exes. The fear she had was husband would shoot ex not other way round. She was "the worst of evil" LOL IMO. I also found the whole premise and plot totally ridiculous tbh. But I really disliked everything about her and her actions right to the end where she left the flowers and chain at the exes grave. She really seemed oblivious the effect that chain was having on husband, (it was rammed in his face constantly) Like she was a detective but she was so unprofessional and seemed to forget her whole sense of justice to protect the ex. Her priority shifted through the show from husband to ex. It was infidelity and love triangle dressed up as a Gangster show. It was pretty unsatisfying.
I really thought id love this Nana is generally amazing and always just looks drop dead gorgeous despite efforts here to make her look anything but. The hairstyles of both MCs are let's say hilarious at times. Instead Im just slowly mostly pleasantly getting through it. The characters just seem to be nearly lovable but just not and while the romance is cute its not living up to its potential 22 episodes in and it feels like its just there. I think the male MC has not been allowed to earn it lets say while the FL seems to have gotten too far into it too soon without the ML doing much to deserve her affection. I would have liked the contrast between his respect and admiration of her and her ex bfs neglect and lack of appreciation of her qualities to have been more explored than hinted at. Her clean break from that relationship seemed too clean tbh The leads love story is enjoyable but unevenly paced. I cant put my finger on it, but it feels like it could have been so much more in that dept. Its like the set up was there but the execution particularly of MLs side of things fell well just a bit flat. Having said that it is funny and wholesome and there are a lot of likeable 2ndry characters especially yoon hee soo and the chief whos a little FL style unhinged but less so. Also i totally immediately shipped the comic store owner with her old judo opponent after like three scenes they were involved in LOL maybe it might happen. That would be a nice little bonus. (I am not a GL/BL fan who wants to see it just for the sake of it being included) but it just jumped off the screen anyone else feel it? In any case im a little underwhelmed but that might just be because i had such high expectations and saved it up to watch for so long.
I really want to try some new Cdrama ive fiund it hard to find one that suits my taste but i really liked the sound of your review. Could I ask is the ML abusive to the FL im not talking gruff or cold i mean verbally physically abusive.
Is the relationship monogamous.
Is there a love triangle involving the leads where a 2ML or 2FL who is a green flag gets heartbroken. Or the FL will end up choosing a guy whose abusive over one whose not.
I realise these might seem random questions but i am not a prolific viewer but i keep coming up against these tropes.
It was definitely worth it... glad I didn't let myself be discouraged by some of the toxic commenters... of which…
I know right I wasnt expecting to write one. The influence of these dramas on reality is to romanticize and idealise these age gap romances which then affects the culture and how its viewed. That is a fact. Thats why i dont like them. In asian culture not only is it culturally normal for families and sociery to have influence on girls marraige it is also common for them to push young women together with older men for wealth and status reasons which might benefit family not the woman. Its back to the tradition that a man needs to grow up get a career earn money then pick his young bride who can provide children. Eire means ๐ฎ๐ช. Ireland was a very conservative Country right up to the 90s and treated women like shit for a long time and portrayals of women in tv reflected what society expected and approved of. The supportive young housewife was idealised the independent career focused woman was rarely seen.
Im so glad this shit has a 6 might stop them makimg more if them. Ah girls empowerment is not about cheating. There was a brief moment of consentual polyamorous and then what she cheats on both of them. I thought the point of polyamorous relationships was everyone was an adult who knew the rules. These guys did not know the rules and the 3rd guy very much wanted monogomy he was very clear and then he was okay with her dating others with no explanation. This is just shitty behaviour full stop.
Ah fabulous drama where cheating is just all good fun so we will just ignore it. ๐ Cause its the fashion industry or something or its made by Netflix. Or the way to show a woman has agency is by having her cheat on her boyfriend with her ex bf cause you know shes cool.
OMG You think Josephs character was a goid depiction of queerness. A flamboyant camp emotionally unstable fashion designer = gay. Hello i think 1994 are looking for you to head back there.

I adore JCW ๐ oh he is so cool and he's in this drama.
