i agree with what you said. I don't necessarily expect a drama to have a happy ending and I loved the rest of the drama but the ending was such a let down. In the context of this particular story I don't see why they couldn't be together at the end. And if they weren't, I feel like there should've been a stronger reason for them not to be.

I do think there is going to be some kind of revival round after this. If there isn't, this whole concept would indeed be really lame. But I think they're saying it like this (the entire team will be eliminated) just so they know what's at stake during the challenge.

She matures throughout the series. It does go on for a bit longer but if you can manage until later on in the season (and she gets a lot better in part 2) you'll see a lot of character development happening.
