What I meant was that he seems to be consistently drawn to stories that explore similar themes, especially the relationship between fate and personal choice. That's the pattern I was referring to.

There is just a points that you might be interested to know, and is that you shouldn't confuse Nam Jeon with Jung Do-jeon. Nam Jeon was a fictional character in this drama. There was no direct image of Jung Do-jeon shown in the drama. He was only mentioned a few times and only once, from behind, was he shown, and finally after the coup d'état of Lee Bang-won and his attack on the palace, the news of Jung Do-jeon's death was announced among other important casualties of the coup.
