This might be the cutesttttt thing I've watched in a while. I'm such a picky watcher and yet they gave me everything I like in just 4 episodes. I went in blind, thinking it's just another teen romance, high school dramas don't impress me much as I'm in my twenties. But oh my goddd it had no business being this cute. The chemistry, the creative plot, the plot progression everything was so perfect!! I don't remember when was the last time I gave a 10 to a bl, I always find some flaws, I'm amazed that I can't find one in this. These babies deserve a 10! I hope SurfJava get many more opportunities ahead, they're very natural together <3

Because the haters cannot digest the fact that skynani have so much chemistry and still won't kiss, that they only make friendship based shows and still gain as much traction as bl ships, that they're earning and enjoying the attention without any fan service where they pretend to be in love, that they have found a way to work together to make their fans happy while still maintaining boundaries. Haters can try to paint it as "homophobia" or "queerbaiting" but nothing can hide the fact that all these whiners are just plain jealous and bothered. I have realised that there are countless people in this world that love to create problems out of nothing simply because they're miserable and empty in their own lives.

I'm laughing at the ragebait thingy, as a fujoshi I'm going to watch it because it looks great and I like skynani, I think they don't wanna do a bl and I respect that, neither gmmtv nor the haters/fans can force them.

I'm all in for praising Wu, the trailer looks promising, the cast is fantastic but because gmmtv doesn't even give their bls the plots as good as this we don't even know how it would turn out. Other productions are mixing different genres with bls and they're turning out well. It's gmm's fault that when it comes to bls it's always the same repetitive slop with no actual plot since they know the cps have huge fandoms so they'll support whatever their favs star in. Gmm's just lazy.

I'm not saying Wu should've been a bl, I don't see the point of forcing romance in a show that doesn't want to be one but if gmmtv ever makes a bl with a plot similarly strong and engaging as Wu or Peaceful Property or even The Gifted, it wouldn't necessarily be a downgrade. They have never even tried it. They should try it in future with their bl cps, actually. It's high time or else other productions will take over in the coming future.

Oh, no read my comment again, I mentioned brainless repetitive romcoms not just romcoms. I'm a romance girlie myself. Romcoms can be great, as you said if they're well made-- exactly, but these days, many thai bls are using the same age old formula so it's getting boring and I see the most mid ass shows getting 10/10 here not because it's some groundbreaking story, but because the ship has huge fandom. I disparaged romcoms that have nothing new to offer in terms of story or acting not romcom as a genre. I watch romcoms too, who doesn't? Life would be empty without some romance and comedy :) I love romcoms that are well balanced and have their sweet endings, I meant sometimes it's nice to appreciate realistic portrayals too and I understand why people would want happy endings, but not every show needs that. And the sad ending made sense in 180 degree atleast. It was extremely realistic.

You talk like horror genre did not exist before khemjira. That show was well executed and directed but the leads lacked chemistry, the 2nd couple was much better. This one doesn't even have any romance so the center of attention will be the horror/mystery element. While I agree having bl elements in wu would've been exciting but it's their choice. You can watch khemjira again if you hate the hetero thing

I see you in the comment section of every skynani show calling them homophobic just because their shows aren't canon bls. If you don't like skaynani, does giving them more attention not frustrate you further? Why would you purposely choose to ruin your mood by watching anything related to them? If they don't want to do bl let them be. If they still want to make their fans happy by doing whatever they can together, let them be. They're far better actors than many of their contemporaries and they have a very big fanbase that's the reason this show even happened. They are in demand, the cameos make sense for the plot. Wu not being a bl doesn't change the fact that there are still tons of bls in the market for those who want to watch gay romance. Every genre has it's audience. And please there are many boring bls too.

And this show has a substantial plot it does not look too much bromance centered. SkyNani have the skills to nail it. Not every show needs to be categorized as bromance or romance, that's a very shallow perspective. It inclines more towards supernatural and horror genre. There's bit of kinship yes, but that exists in every genre of the world.

I think the so called "flaws" that made people dislike it is exactly what made this show so hard hitting. It's flawless in the execution. It's very relatable and describes the true reality of human conflicts and choices. I don't get the need to have a fairytale ending in everything, I get it that people watch shows to escape reality, but once in a while it's good to appreciate realistic portrayals. And the age gap did not turn me off one bit. In the end, it did not even matter.

Some of the girlies watch shows with SA but don't find anything wrong with it so I won't consider their opinions valid. The mainstream audience gives brainless repetitive shows a 10/10, and anything that remotely asks them to think for a bit is suddenly not good enough. The exact reason why we have scarcity of substantial queer shows and too many boring repetitive romcoms with endless nc scenes. Some of them are really good but many are shit. I personally loved everything about this show. And I understand why each character did what they did. I would somewhat agree with the mom being annoying but she represents every other parent. She is exactly what you would expect a typical asian parent to be. Loved this show through and through! Broke my heart but stayed with me.

Lmao I agree with a lot of things you've said, mostly all of it but I still don't think it's a 2 haha I'm probably gonna give it a 6 or 7 because idk I don't give very low ratings unless the show is completely unbearable. I rarely watch things that I can't sit through. I think they have good chemistry and their communication was decent, the friendship part is definitely the highlight of the show! Other than that it's meh, the cringefest was difficult to sit through. Ngl I definitely fell for the high ratings, I thought it's gonna be worth it but it's probably the most overrated bl on mdl, even more so than me and thee.

Watch the prequel. It shows how and why PeteKao started dating. The build up is always the best part.

I didn't get it either, why is one type of cringe better than the other? Either both are shit or both good lol. I have same thoughts as you, I enjoyed certain aspects of the show, the chemistry was good but at the same time it was super childish and too over the top. I thought such bls where the main lead screams and does unhinged shit to get attention would lose relevance by now as there is so much variety and better quality in bls now. But to my surprise people are digging the cringefest, calling it mature becayse it started off with so much childishness that the characters being calmer looked "mature" and if you even dare to slightly slip some truth in between all these comments raving about it, you'd be labeled as a hater and bullied. I'm watching this happen to some commentators that are merely sharing their genuine review. What a weird world. You can't stand out of the crowd without being labeled as a traitor even on a review page.

I never watched futs or we are because I know they're totally not my cups of tea. But I watched both khemjira and duang with you without having any idea of what these shows are about because I saw such high ratings on mdl, I was confused while watching both the shows though because both of them had certain things I liked but many things I disliked. All I know is that both these shows don't deserve such high ratings. Khemjira lacked chemistry between the main couple, Khem was insufferable asf it turned me off so bad I dropped it even though the plot was somewhat interesting, duang with you I'll finish somehow although I know it's nothing great either.

So excited to see these two beauties on the screen together again. They make a power duo together and bring out great emotions and skills in each other. Not to mention the chemistry they have - bromance/romance/friendship whatever you call it, it's pretty amazing to witness. If this show is just as emotionally charged as HSF, then this is gonna be an awesome ride!

I didn't get into it the first time I watched it either. It needs too much patience so I dropped it after a few eps. But I picked it up again later and fell in love! But that was 6 years ago. Idk if people would like it if they watch it fresh now. I personally love it, a 10/10 for me. The longing, yearning, the bg music and subtle romance was peakkk

Why the low ratings? MDL is on crack or what? Mid shows have 8.5 to 9 and this gets a 7.8? What am I missing?
