They should have made it a 6 x hour miniseries. As far as I can tell (ignoring 2 year time jump) the film covered several months but it didn't adequately portray that.
Good movie and not as slow as some say below, being a film I don't think it portrayed the passage of time too well, I'm assuming it's several months from when he saved her to when he gets arrested as she plays piano their on Saturday's so it's minimum a month.
Also why did he take the blame, she wouldn't have been charged would she? Blind and defending someone. Unfamiliar with Japanese law.

I was relatively new to Kdramas when this aired maybe 5 months so it definitely wasn't because I've watched too much like this. I remember enjoying it, I love KYJ and enjoyed everything i've seen her in. Not entirely sure what happened but I've done the same thing several times since, I think it's i need to wait for shows to finish before starting them.

He never started the rumours they started because he transferred her, which was a bad thing and people made stuff up. unless i misunderstood it Also said it would have happened if he did it or not as someone else would have to cover up that the chairwomans daughter was a mistress. although he was unaware of the reason at the time.
Just got past the part were Hui Jin says she knew Ki Se had a GF before they returned to Korea and the still pursued him, fully aware that would destroy another womans life. I have zero sympathy for her.

Glad ML didn't get too mush flak for doing his job as anyone of a 100 people would have done the same thing in that company. And FL understood that almost straight away.
I have more of issue with Gi Se and Hu Jin basically getting away with what they did unscathed basically. Especially Hu Jin I was assuming she never knew about Mi Kyung the entire time, but she knew before returning to Korea still pursued him and affectively ruined another woman's life. There is no way she didn't have a part of Mi Kyung being fired as well as Gi Se would off had to admit she works for her families company. She never really changed she acted like a spoiled rich brat the entire show from scenes in the past right upto the current timeline, never took any responsibility and never even apologised to Mi Kyung ? ? ? ? I disliked her more than these mistresses that steal husbands knowing what they are doing and revel in it at least there honest about what they are.
The part in episode 27 when Niao Niao says that Zischeng never asked before having the emperor edict marriage, erm if I remember correctly isn't that precisely (with his parents ) what a'yao did, he also never asked her. Double standards for ML for similar actions as 2ML.
