Yeah maybe I would have found her more interesting if I had not read the synopsis and already knew what she knew. Hongxuan raised question marks for me when he manipulated Hongyi into taking one for the team but at least his motives and true views remained largely unknown to me. Anyway probably will get round to watching the rest over the weekend.

I agree the Ling Jun role is well acted by a terrific actress but she is the one character in this show that I dislike the most. As a likely evil character, she should be interesting but she is kind of boring and yet so condescending and smug. I roll my eyes every time she speaks in her know it all tone. I have been dragging my feet with this week's episodes even though it is ending because I don't want to watch her and dislike her recent expanded airtime.

Sigh! I was actually planning to watch this. Now it is at the bottom of the priority list.

I know it was partly the role and I was quite forgiving of him early on - most actors struggle with their roles in the beginning but towards the end it improves. With only 6 more to go I am losing patience and just don't see that happening.

That is a pity - this is a huge an untapped area of fan service - killing off the super annoying characters. A less dumb character would make the ML even more jealous and feel more threatened. Any FL that goes for this dumb shit is not worth it.

At this point I must admit that I am baffled that the director and scriptwriter did not pull Yu Menglong aside and have a heart to heart with him that goes kind of like this: dude if you don't get your act together and exercise those super lazy face muscles, we are going to have to rewrite so that the FL end up with the second ML who was originally supposed to be just a parody.
