Title The Wanted Detective Spoiler
He still thinks his magic pill is some kind of legacy that can be perfected on passed on. He is the true villain…
Good question - I think it was a science experiment gone wrong and the poor villagers were expendable. I also think they may have believed Bei Hai would come up with an antidote for too long. A lot of reprehensible people did the wrong thing for the "right" reasons.

We don't know yet if XBM's brother is YeSha. He would have been too young. Only 13 or 14 when he started his revenge.…
Yes another possibility that we can't rule out yet. And in the end it is Xiao Bailong that discovers the antidote.

What a twist, so XBM’s identity from Haiya orphan to being one of the son of the main key culprit that cause…
Yeah XBM's father is the ultimate villain regardless of who Yesha actually is. Regardless of his motives, he tried to weaponize human beings. The idea of that in and of itself is like wow - total mad scientist. I follow where the drama is leading us but in my heart, I still hope that BOTH his sons atone for his sins. That Bei Kun is actually Zhuge Kongyun, a truth seeker and a good guy. And he and XBM are each other's greatest fans. That to me would be the best ending. Rather than XBM having to take down his brother from the same mother.

"I hope Tong Shuang is not evil."
Yes me too. And it feels like maybe too obvious?
I am focused on Miao Yun, the orphan that Miao Jie adopted. What happened to him? He is still MIA and thus still a suspect.

I think that makes sense for now but considering we have 6 more to go, I wouldn't rule out that there may be another twist.

It’s also possible there is more than one Yesha. It’s like a terrorist organization when one leader dies there is always someone else to step up. That is essentially what Zhu Yitie implied. If that is the case maybe Yesha 1.0 was on that boat and he sacrificed himself to frame Beiming and force him to investigate the case. In that case Yesha 1.0 is dead and most likely Miao. Yesha 2.0 should be either the orphan he adopted or Tong Peng who may or may not also be Tong Shuang.

Yes exactly. And that is how one son goes wrong while the other stays on the righteous path. Zhong gave him his mother's name Xiao bc he intended he not be his father's son. I think sadly his bro on the other hand is probably Yesha. And his motive is not revenge for Haiya but for his parent's death and to complete his father's legacy of making the damn rabid mutant pill.

Well if you erase the formula, there is no need for an antidote. Till the end he didn't want to admit his life's work was misguided.

OMG Bei Hai is insane
He still thinks his magic pill is some kind of legacy that can be perfected on passed on. He is the true villain of the piece. Imagine without testing the pill for side effects, he gave it to 200 soldiers.

I think wang Xin Yue is in dual roles. Bei Ming & Bei Kun. There is an episode where this person wears white…
Yes that was Yesha adopting Huang Wucheng, a Haiya orphan. But that must have been a long time ago. Is Beikun old enough?

All good points. However, the poison and Poison Valley is core to the plot. I dislike poison tropes in romances. This does not fit into that category.

what if Xiao Bei Ming and Zhuge Kong Yun are brothers?🤔it's just my intuation.
Its either that or its Yesha. I would prefer Kongyun but at this point its a coin toss.

I don't consider it a wuxia. There are no jianghu elements at all so far.
Ah ok. I guess you could argue it both ways. I don't think it is bc I wouldn't consider something a jianghu story just because there is a ghost market. Its also not a feature of most classic wuxias.

Jiang Qilin was indeed awesome! I will remember him most from that drama. I guess these awards are all somewhat political.

The novel Salted Fish is widely considered Fu Hua's best, most viral work. The other one was quite well liked…
Her only two dramas I watched were Horizon Tower and Longxi. The first bc she played a corpse and the second bc she was a supporting role.

Yeah I care the most about plot and writing as well. So I have made exceptions and tried dramas by directors/screenwriters with actors on my NO list, including Angelababy who is right at the very top of my NO list. Actors usually get to read the script before signing. But the script can change quite a bit during filming, sometimes with actor input (usually with bad outcomes).

I'm glad the drama give a conclusion for their misunderstanding about Fengbo Lake three years ago. It's heartbreaking…
Ah yes, its exactly like that, I can only understand maybe ~80pct of the Bahasa that is spoken in Indonesia.
