Tbh I don't like the way the father was written. His coldness to his biological children is a bit overdone. I don't fault him as much for SM bc SM clearly disrespected him and worshipped his detested uncle. It would have made more sense to me if he swapped out the babies and left the daughter to be raised by his mistress as her child bc he wanted his son to be legitimatized and replace SM as his heir. To just give her away and not care about her wellbeing is just OTT.

It's a pity, I would have actually enjoyed watching him lock horns with Di Lun/Li Naiwen a little bit longer.

I think Song Han is just a lost boy trying to keep the myth of a happy family together best he can. It is Ji Yong I have both eyes on bc the FL trusts him and he also knows the past. But instead of trying to change it for the better he is low key obstructing her saying what will be will be. He is insidious and he is in their circle of trust. If Dou Zhao listened to him or wavered she would not have gotten home in time to stop SM from killing Duke Ying.
