Overrated work of art?

I guess it was my high expectations because of the praise that this show has got so far but when I watched it I couldn't really connect with it the way I wished to...
First of all the editing was weird in some cases, I was just left confused on the overall pacing of the story and the decisions made on continuation of it. Even if it was intentional it just didn't help what felt like a very lackluster story.
By the end I expected to learn more specially about Jae Won to really know his back story and the way he acted, and while I did understand his actions it felt overall lacking and like they could've explored more but decided to leave it vague, which just by the end made me not connect with him as I would've liked to.
A great portion of the characters (specially the ones in the club) were unlikeable, and were mostly forgiven or left without consequence in the end, which just made it harder to keep watching.
The music was alright and story could've been better, just the execution felt weird and even if experimental or different to what's out there in terms of BL it felt too cliche and weirdly paced in a lot of the cases, like if it wanted to focus more on the psyche of the characters why not show more of the therapy sessions of Jae Won for example instead of only snippets in some episodes for example.
I've been enjoying the last K-BL releases but this one just isn't up there for me, which makes me disappointed and makes it feel overrated in the end.

Interesting start for a downfall

The story on paper really peaked my interest at first and as it was going I was not disappointed, it's a short and sweet love story about 2 best friends at the beginning...I was expecting a lot of sweet moments from when they became a couple just like they had in the past but by episode 8 it went downhill. By that point Theo's prince-like spoiled attitude starts to show and it doesn't get better by the end, for once I, as many others, was hoping that they wouldn't get together or that Theo would have an awakening after being separated from Akk and show atleast some character development, which needless to say that didn't happen.

The ending felt rushed and just disappointing, it's almost a waste of chemistry that the main actors had going for them, if it wasn't for Akk i would've dropped the show close to the end. Still I finished it and watched the last episode at 1.5 speed and was still dissapointed. Also the marriage proposal was so out of nowhere?? and why was Akk the one that had to go looking after little lost boy Theo who didn't show interest in the relationship at all??

If you're looking for a story about a spoiled prince that keeps showing his selfishness and immaturity along with his best friend that deserved better this is the story for you.

Akk deserves better, but I think we all know that.

Color that felt too rushed

To begin, I liked the first season, it did have room for improvement but for what it was it was good enough. I didn't have that much of high expectations but was definitely expecting something different from this second season.
I liked the new character and the chemistry they had together, though because i rewatched the first season before this one I did miss Yoo Han a bit. (Honestly if they left it as a bromance overall it would have been better and less conflicting). The music was fine and so was the production, although in some cases you could tell they had a low budget and tried to make more than they could with it.
The story was interesting but definitely more complicated to explore with the short run time and amount of episodes they had, honestly I feel like if they didn't add that many characters and aspects maybe it wouldn't have felt like it was too rushed or too lacking.

Spoilers:
Tbh I was expecting that we would be able to see things managed better, like the fact that they decided to put Yoo Han in a hospital bed in the postcredits??? that made me a bit upset, also the kissing scene between the leads this time was a bit confusing, i left wondering if Yeon Woo was actually leaving, nonetheless their friendship is cute.

Overall a bit disappointing and lacking in terms of pñroduction and run time, its an entertaining watch but idk if i'll rewatch it again, i definitely liked the first season better. If they were to release a third season though I would watch it lol.

A good start for an incredibly toxic relationship

While having high expectations from the first season I must say I was disappointed with Teh's actions so much I couldn't keep watching seeing it got worse. The cinematography and music is great and I love the aesthetic and overall visuals, but the story went downhill for me. The way Teh kept acting selfishly and everyone around him kept accepting his behaviour as it only kept going worse is incredible.. the way Oh-aew accepted his apologies and kept loving him even after the way he acted is astounding to me, if anyone acted or did to me what Teh did to Oh-aew I wouldn't be keeping them around me, he absolutely deserved better and Teh needed time to stop acting as if the world revolved around him and getting disappointed people didn't act the way he wanted them to.

I just couldn't bear watching more of Teh even if I understood his stance to some extent but it was too much. The score I give it is for the great acting and visuals but I'm not a fan at all of the story. Would rather have imagined how it went for these two after itsay.

Lighthearted and fun, contrary to popular belief

I must say after watching the series I was surprised by how low the reviews were on the series.

First of all I mainly was interested in watching the series because of Tutoryim and honestly their performance was great, especially Yim really shocked me with how good he was on the role. It is mainly a comedic series and while people don't like it because of that I found it really fun and lighthearted.

Story wise, it's very basic, nothing that we haven't seen before but as someone that watched it without the knowledge of Bed Friend the series it might have been even better that way, as no expectations were set before hand. So if there's someone that hasn't watched Bed Friend, giving this series first a try might be a good idea!

Of course the series isn't perfect, I resonated a lot with Jade's story which might be why I also grew attached to the show and are biased to some extent, but the way in which some scenes are portrayed in order to make the audience understand the character more can honestly be not as effective as they might've thought. In this case seeing the feedback on the comment section of the episodes was a great help in understanding Jade better. Also the comedy in the series might seem unnecessary at first but I felt like it gave it more of a cheeky and fun vibe to it and unless you're someone that really doesn't like comedy, I don't see it as being that much of a big deal.

It's an overall entertaining show, and while it might not be everyone's cup of tea, I highly recommend anyone that's second guessing to give it a try!

Expected better than what it was

Honestly I was excited to give it a watch because I got to see some scenes without context and it looked good, but after watching it, it's a very hit or miss show depending on the episode and how you feel about the characters.
The plot itself was interesting but they could've done more with it, the chemistry between them was okay and the actors can do well but we could only see that until the last episodes. I ppersonally also really liked the intro song..
However, the lack of communication gets annoying, one episode they're on good terms and the next one they avoid each other. I also noticed a lack of connection between the story and actions. Certain characters weren't really explored more than they should've to give a better perspective on things, especially Kaburagi's overall back story could've explained better his character and overall attitude, at some points I had to pause the show because of how infuriating his attitude was and how their overall relationship played out.
It's an entertaining watch if you have nothing else to do or have nothing else to watch, but honestly you aren't missing out on much if you skip it, knowing there're better Japanese bls out there.

Cute show when having nothing to watch

I was really looking forward to this series since its trailers came out a while ago, and honestly it didn't really disappoint, though I do feel its lacking in certains aspects thanks to how short it is. It was an overall fun watch to kill time and very cute and nice vibes.
The characters are all really likeable (ofc except the parents of Ye Guang but that's what the writers intended). I was really looking forward to seeing how the main and secondary couples developed, which on one side was a bit let down because of how lacking of depth the second couple was, I did felt like it was missing a bit more to get to know their relationship but it's nothing really serious. The chemistry of both of the couples was really great and I was really anticipating the kiss from the main couple, which was really cute as well.
It handles topics that can be heavy to an extent but its nothing too drastic, the characters act with a good level of matureness which doesn't make their conflicts last for long.
It's soundtrack goes hard especially in the intro, and it's rewatch value is great as it's easily digestible and entertaining overall. It's a nice series though I do feel like it was way too short for the story overall, I do recommend though!

You make my heart dance *cries*

As I had heard about it and was excited about it before I finally had time to watch it and it was what I was expecting tbh.

It's not bad or extremely life changing, it's lighthearted with its heartfelt moments but with its flaws.

I was pretty invested in it since the beginning, having the story in mind made me interested in it, however having a close look into the story some characters could've been developed better and I was also hoping that they'll show more after the discussion they had on the 7th episode.

The ending felt pretty rushed, the writers could've paced the story better having in mind how short it was gonna be, they had a solid idea that just had to be closed quickly because of the lack of time, the ending felt very fairytale like and didn't make much sense tbh. Especially with the reaction from the main loan shark.. If you don't think about it, it may be fine but it was just kinda out of character.

The music is cute and if you connect with the story from the beginning there won't be many issues or they won't be that big of a deal. Personally I liked it and throughly enjoyed it, the main characters have pretty good chemistry and they had their cute and absurd moments.

It's an enjoyable watch when having time to spare and if seen light heartedly it's a pretty fun watch as well.
