I just finished reading the novel. as someone who was also born in 1990, this story brings back so many memories and emotions. I thought it was just a simple childhood love story but I was wrong. I’m feeling so melancholic right now. If readers are born in the 90s, most of the things happening in the story is something that all 90s kids have experience for every phase of their life. the elementary school, middle school, high school, university and working life. Upon reading the novel, I wished I could travel back into the past and experience everything again.

if you like coming of age genre, I’d say it’s pretty good. But I’m not a fan of high school story, so I’m not sure if I like it? Lol. I think the acting is pretty good, the plot is good, there were some fillers which I think can be cut out, the family plot was good and moved my heart. zlh hair is distracting, I didn’t feel any chemistry between the leads, second lead is cute tho 🤗

I’m watching Fluorish in Time rn, funnily zlh play the same character with the same surname Jiang. He was a talented, top student in FIT and here he’s a mathematical genius. Well at least his hairstyle is better here 😂

Now that you mention it, yea I also have never seen it. Was he still too young? Wu Lei first on screen kiss in LLTG was when he was 22 and wxy is 22 this year, so perhaps age issue?

Starting this because I miss ZLH. High school background never really interest me, plus ZLH hair is so bad in this drama and the FL is super cringe. but I guess that's how all carefree foolish teenage girls act? Anyway towards the end of ep 1, I find their relationship is super cute. Well, hopefully I'll enjoy this as much as all other 10,000 watchers.

Have you watched ep 40, the prison break scene? My goodness, she was indeed distractingly pretty. I didnt noticed any other person in that scene.
