Additionally, i was reading this long thread on reddit on someone highlighting the differences. Unsure of how they have so many details, but there might be a lot of disappointments. The plot will focus heavily on 2nd ML, and do a proper love triangle as opposed to the lack of it in the book which is so well done. Now, i am becoming more apprehensive.

Makes sense, now that I re-read the show plot here it says survived. Aah, censorship. But what a shame it would be again. The whole sibling aspect, even though small was such a fun and heart warming little sub plot.
The other supporting charactets are definitely there, i saw them in the trailer background. The flag competition og group should be present.

Seriously, it's such a shame, he was my favorite character. Reading the character descriptions, they are moving the doctor bit to Cheng Lisu. The absence of 2nd He family is weird though but they dont have a lot of characters like Wang Ba, Xiao Mai, Shitou etc in the list as well, so maybe its incomplete.
