I was not expecting him to confess this early and so easily. And that hug at the end was perfect. I was already getting the feels with her touching his heart, and then she ended the episode listening to it. SIGH. I have loved Heo Nam Jun since Matchmakers, so am excited that they are really highlighting his fantastic acting. We already know that Im Ji Yeon is a freaking queen, but they are both equally slaying it with the humor and subtle heart fluttering romance.
I hope that’s not the last we see of that adorable dog. ML had it bad by taking care of the dog despite his allergies. Can’t wait for him to pursue her next week without any shame.
Another trope averted with FL quickly telling ML about her past relationship with SML, and him telling her that he received a tip about her. I thought they’d drag this to episode 10 with her finding out and being upset, but she took it in stride like she always does.
The football scene was hilarious- all of audit looking in horror at GI Jun was the best. I love how he’s an open book and completely honest about his feelings. Probably the greenest flag ML I’ve seen in a while.
Ending took a turn I wasn’t expecting, and then I was unexpectedly crying even though I know everything is going to be okay. This show continues to knock it out of the park with the buildup of the leads and really hope they don’t go the noble idiocy route tomorrow.
Hes so downbad already and tryna hide it its hilarious!! Literally said to himself as if her sad eyes work then…
I like that it makes sense why the FL doesn’t recognize his face from her past life. It makes it even intriguing how she actually fell for him (and vice versa) before she became the King’s concubine. Probably the reason why she was chosen, to break the Prince’s heart. I usually can’t stand flashbacks but am looking forward to them to see how this relationship goes (intriguing that it seems to be only from the ML’s POV through his dreams).
That cousin is such a sociopath even at a young age. The actor plays the villain role pretty well and is creepy as hell.
The leads are absolutely chaotic and hilarious. Love how they both equally like being around the other while refusing to admit it. Se Gye is already attached and worries about Seo Ri and it’s so adorable to watch. Their micro expressions are the best and really elevate this show, especially the one liners (generous waistband still makes me giggle). Can’t wait until tomorrow!
Giving criticisms is not allowed now for a drama?? for FICTION? Okay.
You are defending it while others are criticizing it, though unsure why you only got mad at criticism when it’s okay to end up not liking the direction of a show that you’ve spent almost 3 months watching.
Seems like I’m the only one that preferred the second couple’s sweet scene after the fire to the leads. It was nice to see them care for the other, and for Hye Jeong to be scared that Aide Choi would get hurt. That scene actually made me teary eyed over the leads (maybe because of the spoilers from the upcoming episode so already knew he was okay). It was sweet to see Hui Ju crying when she was hugging Ian.
The second half of the episode’s storyline definitely fell off a cliff. Another show that has relied on lazy storytelling and lead visuals the last few episodes. Hopefully tomorrow it will be a little better.
“Don’t put labels on how I feel.” One of the most honest lines I’ve seen in a k drama. That simple comment rang true because it summed up how GI Jun feels, and it is nice to see this rawness and honesty when we usually have noble idiocy and denying feelings as the usual trope in a romcom.
No wonder this show is so good to rewatch because this honest communication is refreshing to see. Hope this show continues down this path instead of the usual downturn around episode 7-8 that we’ve been accustomed to.
