Does anybody know the actual storyline to this–or if it was a novel or something–and can give a synopsis of what it's about? The summary here explains nothing and the trailer was a little ambiguous (for me, at least). It would be nice to have an understanding of what the show will entail before I get invested in it and become disappointed by the plot haha ^^;; thank you!
Yeah, I've seen them do that in other series and it flowed better than dubbing, surprisingly. For example, in the Taiwanese-Korean BL called "Because Of You", only one character speaks Korean while everyone else speaks Chinese and they don't even mention it to each other. In fact, they have the Korean guy say random, small sentences in Chinese periodically, then have the Taiwanese characters say small things in Korean at times. And I personally felt it was nicely done! If you haven't already seen that series, I recommend it!

If I may, I can recommend to you a FANTASTIC Thai show that most people ended up liking a lot. I'm not sure if you've watched it yet, but it's called The Stranded. It has Oabnithi in it also haha. But it's basically the Thai version of Lost and wow, that show was great. I think about it all the time. It doesn't have the slapstick silliness, cheese, or rawr crap (I agree with you on that btw lol) that many Thai dramas have.
I think so too. Because I've been studying Mandarin for about a year and could clearly read his lips during multiple scenes and knew what he was saying. He even says "我" whenever the dub is saying "gu" and all i could think was, this thai dubbing isn't fooling anybody lol.
Does anybody know the actor who plays Na? I can't find any info on him, (even his name) but want to look up his acting history because I swear I just spotted him as an extra in a show and now I GOTS TO KNOW!!! haha
Yeah! Totally threw me for a loop! And it still does lol. I keep expecting him to speak Thai and every time he doesn't, i almost chuckle haha. I feel like it would have been better if they just made him a Chinese exchange student in the show who could understand Thai and that his Thai friends just understood Chinese. Or something like that. Because the dub voice doesn't fit him and it's a little strange sounding ^^;;;

Exactly!! It's always the quiet ones you have to watch out for lol. They know everything haha. He does seem to know Duen the best. His level of jealousy is pretty high too. Like the way he jumped out of his seat at the end of ep2 and was like "Don't use my friend." And made Duen leave. It seemed like much more than platonic overprotection. So, I don't think your thoughts on this are off base! And I do find it interesting that Duen is such a hot commodity lol. It seems like at least three dudes are gunning for his booty currently. And I guess we can't blame them. Duen is super cute and his personality is precious and innocent. These guys weren't prepared lmao.

Well, that explains why all of his lines in the show are dubbed over in Thai when it's looking like his mouth isn't speaking Thai at all. Because I was totally confused by that in ep2 of My Engineer.
