Yeah this part is confusing enough for that since the two words sound the same- 대표님 vs 대변인 but is clear in korean sub. Mr Min says Baek daepyo-nim (representative) had surgery which is Ui-young. The rest of the times he talks about daebyeon-in (spokesperson) which is Sa-eon.

I haven't read the full novel yet... Its a bit- like, in episode 1 Mr Kang is the one who gives the gushing exposition about Baek Sa-eon's negotiation skills, fumbles with the number Sa-eon tells him to track and then picks up the last call by accident. But PDJ did that in the novel. And novel PDJ is kindof animated and perplexed when compared to the perfect Jeeves of the drama. Thereafter PDJ's appearance is mostly the same PDJ as the drama doing all the tracking work excruciatingly slow and surviving sus bombs except his emotions are described(including one about how when the back is turned his look changes to a sly one). Basically the same gets split in two foil characters as the perfect and the bumbling(usually the police station in most kdramas have these two...).

In fact the presidential spokespersons office don't feature much at all nor is relevant- only his secret personal intelligence agent type staff working together with PDJ who are kinda shady because the novel BSE himself is kindof sus. Drama Baek Sa-eon is far more straight-laced and upright. His circle is slowly aiding him but other drama Sa-eon has less resources than the novel one. Like majority of dramas the office staff should have remained background silent support like Hee-joo's center is but their presence increases with the retreat- I'm guessing they're supposed to have added to suspense with the guessing game about who all could be the twin/master. Otherwise they're among the usual kdrama ally group for the main leads. Also, mainly, (type)casting of Agent Ahn as Kang and keeping his character almost as agent Ahn but married.... he's the issue

The novel is mainly a R-rated erotica and the jokes are risque and somethings such that it turns the ML a not-so-nice type. The changes the script has made to the same lines has rendered things in a different light. Like from erotica to a tender romance. The interaction with the office makes PDJ a bit more adorable than the doomed scenario of just a trusted ally who turns out was misguided. Also changed- the SML is basically the female senior Hee-joo had at her center but who is a psychiatrist uncle who treated her as a child(hes the comic relief and jealousy inducer with his inappropriate texts) and SFL is Ina who is a reporter. Neither from the drama exist in the novel neither does the orphanage plot.

Also, I wish Chairman Hong would just blow people's heads off...so much coud have been solved...

Someone commented below that 406 kidnapper was doing marriage counselling for the first half and blocking in the 2nd. Mr Kang got that same memo.

That cliffhanger makes it feel like theres a plot twist incoming about the subject 😱😱 did he die?

Tom and Jerry joined hands- Kang who had to spend his weekend away from wifey(because turns out the boss wanted to flirt with his(wife/mistress?) on a retreat he never attends otherwise) and Park couldn't believe the cheek that his beloved boss was actually paying attention only to her and ignoring him throughout the day...

Hope it is... Ahh the typecasting is a real fear!!

I also found some things from linked that are a coincidence- he and ML Yoo Yeon-seok had acted as Albert and Werther in the musical a few years back. And he and Mr Kang's actor used to be long time roomates.

If someone gave that poor kidnapper a thorough shower and a makeover he'd look like a Prince Baek Sa-eon(evil version)

Park Jae-yoon is his changed stage name this year from Park Eun-seok(another known actor has the same name) and recently started out in support roles in dramas and movies. The peculiarities of the character and his aura are something else... Saw an article few days ago with the PD praising him.

Just look at Park Do-jae he looks so innocent 😭! And he cares for his boss. He looks less sus this week(despite the usual), Kang is still very sus and facilitating situations, Sang-woo went v. high sus(too high to be actually sus tho). Mr Kang would be neater than Do-jae(Park's will sting bad). Both'll have impact betraying trust. Please be someone without ties - their superboss old man with glasses or Won-bin.
Park Do Jae and Mr Kang are the literal second (b)romance of the drama. Their petty competing and jabs and comic interactions... But then they're standing like close pals in the retreat photos Kang with his arms around his shoulders and what looks like Do-jae smiling at the camera(something he only does about his boss). Kang selected all those photos didn't he👀

Theres so many people that can easily have motive with the three main past events (Orphanage disappearances, the Baek swap, Hong children and nanny accident)...and if it's "us" any number of those who lost someone could have been in the plan not just two. Everyone's sus!!

Chairman Hong is scary and wily and I can't pin him down neither Ina but they seem to have their own separate issue than this kidnap thing. And they know the truth. Is the Master really someone who doesn't know about the switcheroo? Heterochromia ringing a bell with some of them would...

Sang-woo is giving me Suho vibes(minus death flags). He knows way too much even with his field of speciality. His child actor might be one of the twins? Coz I couldn't match him up with anyone else in the photo. But then its bit blurry. (but the one twin looks exactly how Do-jae as a child might. Although adult Sang-woo looks like he should be In-a's twin...) He is so cagey about the twins down to not naming them even though he remembers everybody... How'd he survive the house and the murderous kid and grandpa? Sa-eon's child actors bit older... None of the ages or time period is too clear.

The fisherman's name is given as Jung Sang-hoon. A Jung was supposed to be evading taxes on that mansion. And Jung Won-bin who thinks he looks like Sa-eon??

Sang-woo is a psychiatrist with an obsession with serial killers which could be in a bid to find the truth. The Baek mom is also a psychiatrist with room full of books on psychopaths and the one she keeps the photo in is titled something like 'can inclinations be changed'. Seems more so now that kidnapper with heterochromia is the real son(should've offed your rotten dad first dude). He reminds me of Mo Tae-gu and the psycho from SWDBS. His actor is hot... Btw if no one wants that phone anymore can I have it?

nd Park Do-jae used to be in journalism(who know the connection to Hong family) with Sa-eon and has been shadowing him so long once the kidnap incidents began he'd have enough to figure it all...

Depends on the kdrama in a way(but in reality- I dunno). Some dramas put in way too many details into docs- especially the crime ones in their personnel files(mainly police I think but themn they're kinda like armies) even when it has zero narrative significance. My countrys bit more ancient so one has to give more details(other than some non-governmental jobs or big companies)- an internship i'd to name even my siblings. And declare if connection to anyone political. Koreas got more privacy laws and rights and things have changed over years of Kdramas(like family register and even the blue house itself). This Presidents office...

Kang's various reactions are what make me think both ways that he may or may not have a clue. He isn't that death flag-y, but his character is also the sort that gets shot, or used...or not.

Kang and the reporter can compare notes on their health scares over Sa Eon... The repoters an old friend to Sa Eon it seems(one of the only?) he is comfortable. But hes not as free with the sfl(?) and Park's...the usual right hand man. Kang's the typical clueless office guy without a filter who isn't sure which way his main character boss's mood is going. But the boss seems to be serious whenever it's marriage advice. After the reporter told him his opinion of the hypothetical husband being a simp for his wife and then he asks the one man who is open and free in doting on his wife...in front of his boss... Ally he better remain ig. I don't really want the perfect aide Park to be a traitor either considering how loyal he appears.

True the entire lecture on marriage is long-term reality, being ready, factors like money and dividing responsibility, etc were simple but good.

The twins are the star of the drama. If they ran the matchmaking team there'd be total success rate.

This reminded me of Waikiki again... LYK's character parodied how drama's last episodes cram product placement illogically including wearing a red glowing LED mask to take hostages. They actually got a real product placement similar to it 😂

Nah Face Me was filmed in beginning of last year(2023) and its release was delayed due to various reasons. Marry You was filmed in 2024. LYK being LYK he seemed to have a packed schedule all year round with multiple things from variety to music, etc...
