how do people think like you? people are literally fine with actors and actresses abusing their own children merely…
She has the right to walk away and let other people raise her children for her, sure. She didn't bond with the children and for whatever reason doesn't want to be a parent, and that's her right. But it sounds like her ex-husband would actually like to keep and raise the children himself in China but she refuses to do what's necessary to make that happen. That's attempting to strip him of his legal right to care for his own children. I hope someone has thought of suing her on behalf of her children, actually.
She is allowed to walk away from her children, but her abandonment of them is made much, much worse with the heaping dose of spite that's preventing her children from remaining with one of their parents. It's like she's saying that because she doesn't want to be a parent she won't allow her ex to be one either. And that might not be a crime against humanity, but that's her not acting like a good human.
And to your point about men getting away with this kind of behavior - this is why (in this country anyway) someone is getting sued for child support every week. It's not ok for men either...

Both parents need to sign legal documents for their children before exiting one country and permanently entering another because of the many cases of parental abduction and kidnapping. One birth certificate from one parent does not suffice and for some good reasons. I don't think there will "always" be cases like this - this is an unusual-sounding case. But even if one parent just doesn't want to be a parent anymore, they still have financial obligations towards their children until adoption papers are signed and certified in court.
So true!! I was actually so happy when I saw this, honestly this plot seems like the same old same old cliched,…
Ji Chang Wook has already said that he doesn't want to do any more action dramas because they're too hard on his body. I hope you all don't expect him to just do those for the rest of his career (because it would be a short one then.)
What things do people don't like in this drama? No, not being a snob, honestly curious. I kind of really like…
For the record, I normally love noona romances, and I usually like slow paced character-driven storylines, but I straight-up hated this drama by the end. (I also disliked One Spring Night so much that I dropped it halfway through, so I'm just not a fan of this writer apparently. ) SITR started out well enough - the chemistry between the two leads was palpable, the conflicts seemed like they could be overcome, etc. But the FL's mother was one of the most toxic characters I've ever seen onscreen, and her emotionally abusive screaming sessions gave me serious anxiety. I also cannot abide the ubiquitous face-slapping - it's violent and wrong. The concept of noble idiocy took on a whole new meaning during this drama and I hate it when dramas make the audience wait until the last ten minutes to see some sort of resolution. The soundtrack was so repetitive that I literally muted the sound during the last three episodes so I didn't have to hear them any more. I didn't like the Bruce Willis song the first time it was played on the radio and the years since hadn't improved it any, unfortunately. Ironically, I'm also annoyed by the low ratings on MDL and can list out a dozen dramas that I think deserve to have a higher rating here than they do, but I wouldn't include this one in that list. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes, and I respect that. You asked why some folks dislike this drama and that's what I'm answering here.
I absolutely love Something in the rain. Definitely the best drama around with main couple's killer chemistry.…
I disagree quite strongly - his drama Secret Love Affair is almost a masterpiece while I had to mute the last several episodes of SITR so I didn't have to hear the mother scream every five minutes as well as the same damn songs over and over again.
Someday or One Day is one of the best dramas I have ever seen, from any country and in any language - period. It's a masterpiece. I have a question for the article author though. You said the drama "doesn’t have a single flaw" (which I totally agree with!!) so I'm curious why your rating is only 9/10? What more could the drama have done to receive a 10/10? Since joining this site I've been baffled by the ratings and how much lower they are than other drama sites. In my humble opinion, of all the dramas out there, this one in particular should have a rating that is much, much closer to 10 than either 8.9 or even 9. Thanks for the article and for the recommendations. I've only seen SOOD and Love is Sweet from your list. I would add Go Ahead to the list of the best C-dramas of 2020.
How can you say that before you've watched a single episode?!
"It's useless discussing this." I would agree, but for the record, I care less about what you think a noona romance actually is, and more about you claiming the drama got ruined before it's even been aired.

Actors can change to fit the character that the script calls for, and directors are responsible for helping the actors fit the vision of the source material. Your comment about how the drama is ruined already before it's even been aired is problematic. Give the actors a chance to show different characters than they've shown before, and help create an environment where the rest of us can look forward to a new drama as well. Also Won Jin Ah is 29, and so could have a relationship with a younger man in this drama - the very definition of noona romance.
