What?! No, I said that we were not OWED and did not DESERVE any of their private lives. If they want to share things with the public, that's on them. Not sure what you're trying to insinuate here but I'm not being contradictory. It's still not my business. Period.
This drama is such a chaotic but cute mess, I love it. Nodame is so gross but so adorable.
I just started this and I have a question for you. Does the FL ever get less annoying? :-) I know it's a much older drama and it's very anime-like, but I'm having a hard time getting through her scenes (and you know by now how much I love J-dramas.) And does the borderline abusive/anime-inspired slapstick continue throughout the whole drama?
I think if they chose to be in this business, that they should know that nothing in their lives will be private,…
Your comment is all kinds of problematic... We aren't owed anything as fans, except for decent performances onscreen. And no, I should NOT have access to an actor's private life every minute of the day!

If the celebs themselves want to announce their marriage, then great (and plenty do, like posting on their socials.) If not, then it's not our business. They don't owe us their private lives, even if fans think they do. Even if paparazzi and netizens keep telling us that we deserve a parasocial relationship with actors, we don't.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin getting married isn't an anonymous rumor by some unnamed person, and it won't force their agencies to come out with rebuttal stories, or on their socials. It's a completely different scenario and not at all comparable. And yes, it really IS a big deal when these rumors get out of control and negatively affect the actors' real lives. Fans don't 'deserve' anything more from an actor than what we get on screen, and we need to stop thinking we do.

And I will keep saying that some of us need a bit of romance to help cut the stress of a really intense thriller!
