JackDean didn't deserve that ending. I don't fully trust Jack to have put the past behind him. Did Jack ever apologize…
I don't remember him saying sorry, but he did say that he is also at fault to Arnold for pushing Dean to double cast, and in ep3 he said that when Dean is hurting he is hurting as well. He didn't finished saying it, but in the final ep in the rain scene, he said that there is one thing he really regrets, and he wanted to say that he regrets breaking up with Dean.
I think the problem is that the director and screenwriters wanted to make him the victim and Dean the one at fault, who needs to apologize and make up for his mistakes. That is the way their relationship was portrayed in a novel, Dean was more mean there and Jack was just sad lonely boy, and he wasn't toxic but kind, Jack in series and in the novel are completly different. So well, with that change in mind, for the series this portrayal didn't really worked, and it looks like the opposite right, that Jack is the one who hurted Dean way out of proportions, and he should apologize, not the one to forigve Dean.
But personally I will always be team JackDean are toxic equally, but I wished the show also wanted to portay it that way, it would make way more sense, than the story trying to say Jack good Dean bad and the viewers saying the opposite 😅 and I'm like both is way better.
In my opinion, Jack kind of changed and is not so resentful anymore, as he said himself, but he's probably still…
Also tbh Dean was also toxic, but people brush it aside, like he never opened up to Jack about things that worried him and lied to him more than once, and he was obsessed with him all the time, he never let Jack move on after their first breakup, like remember him breaking into his room twice or spilling the coffe on Jacks hookup? I guess they are both toxic equally. For me Dean was never the victim, he is too strong for that, he seemed like a person who could live on no matter what with his head high up, seeing his past, he probably went through a lot so he cannot be easily shaken, though theres one thing, he could never truly let go and this is what brought him down.
Ok finally the end but, still,i can't stress enough how much i never wanted to see Jack end up with Dean , Jack…
In my opinion, Jack kind of changed and is not so resentful anymore, as he said himself, but he's probably still selfish seeing that he couldn't make up his mind if he should take a shoot with Dean at the end or not. I wish that we saw more of their change because it wasn't clear tbh. Dean seemed less playful, not that cocky, but more calm and mature. In the end, JackDean are stuck in the vicious circle aren't they, I think it's a good representation of a toxic couple that is too addicted to each other, it's just like dejavu again and again. But in my delusion they are truly happy together at the end and won't hurt each other anymore lol 😭
You'll be missing some hot scenes though and theyre really worth it lol, and I think the last ep is still worth watching, i think it was a good farewell to the characters, and it was interesting to see what the characters are up to once they grew up (it was a 1 year time skip but for me it felt like 5 years lol)
Does anyone else think JackDean's ending wasn't really happy? The final scene gave me unnerving vibes. By making…
Yeah, maybe that was the point though, that they are trapped in this vicious cycle and their story is not really finished on purpose, because they will always go back to the same old pattern...tbh peak toxic couple representation
I feel like that is the point of the last scene. Their story IS unfinished. Jack and Dean will never actually…
Damnn tbh i didn't though about it like that, it's interesting actually, they did get back together but it's not exactly a happy ending for them because they're trapped in a vicious cycle of toxicity
Final scene felt so bittersweet, I feel sad for Dean. Is he stuck in a cage now, an infinite loop? The way Jack…
I think Dean was happy though, the play went without problems, Jack cheered him on, in my opinion he just changed and got more mature, less playful, let go of his sassy act, maybe that's why people think he is sad
