It's an amazing work about revenge, but not at all the kind everyone is used to. There are no bloody showdowns here: the cruelest part is that Li Gang only gives the beginning, and Ho Moon thinks about everything else himself - and thus destroys his life himself.The story is based on only two people, and this is its strength: on one side - a writer who did not let go of the past and was tormented by a sense of inferiority, on the other - an offended orphan. And the way Lee Gang makes Ho Moon believe and fully immerse himself in his plot is truly impressive. Ho Moon doesn't even notice how he becomes the author of his own fall.
It's not about a blow to the face, but about a blow to the most vulnerable - to those thoughts that have been spinning in my head for years. This makes revenge feel even more terrible: it is quiet, but irreversible. The film is not action, but how it accurately shows how the past can control us if we allow it. A very strong, psychologically verified story.

The film is about how a girl, after a long violence from her relatives, found the very straw she grabbed so tightly.It shows what consequences can be after the experience - what are the injuries and disorders. And how one person can turn your life upside down.
What hooked me the most was that the girl had clear symptoms of sociopathy. Although at such a young age, similar manifestations are more correct to classify as a behavioral disorder. And if nothing had happened, all this would have turned into a much worse outcome.
At the end it is shown that they did not turn away from the girl, even after learning the whole truth. And this is a good outcome for her.
There is also a line of the boss - a woman who also has injuries and problems with work and personal life. Even so, she didn't turn away, but became that very straw.

Quiet, unhurried cinema, which at first seems like a simple story about childhood. But it's a deceptive impression. On the surface - loneliness, class differences, fragility of friendship: all this is visible at once, and this is important. But the real meaning of the film is revealed only in the finale - and is voiced by its youngest character.His words are simple and therefore striking: in childhood there is no time for protracted grievances and endless conflicts. We quarreled, fought - and keep playing. Don't hide malice, don't complicate life for yourself or someone else. Childhood is one, and to waste it on enmity means to miss what you can't get back.
The line of father and son works here not as a parallel plot branch, but as a warning. It shows what the habit of not letting go, saving, keeping silent leads to - and how this habit cripples relationships through generations. It's not about childhood or adulthood: inability to live conflicts destroys equally.
That's why the message of the film cannot be called childish. It's universal. The director does not read moral teachings, does not give answers - she simply shows two ways: one, along which a small child walks, and the other, along which adults follow. And the difference between them is not in age, but in the ability to let go.

Very sensual movie. The heroine is 38 years old, she has a good family, a strong marriage, a child, a sister - everything is in place, and there seems to be nothing to complain about. But suddenly she really falls in love for the first time.It is important to me that there is no division into good and bad in the movie. No one is exposed as a villain, no one is justified to the brilliance. The story is not about guilt and not about morality, but about how a sincere feeling makes you a little selfish - not out of cruelty, but because you simply can't give up this light. You think with your head, calculate the consequences, and your heart pulls where it hurts and wrong, but for real. After all, you can't command your heart.
And that's the whole gap: you're torn between duty and desire, between what's right and what's alive. The film does not give any convenient answers, does not promise that everything will become easier. He just honestly shows this internal conflict - and that's why he responds deeply.

Empty house 2004Meditative movie about loneliness.
A guy traveling to empty houses and a married woman who was abused by her husband. These two people are definitely lonely.
Clean arthouse. There were no words from the main characters in this movie, but their feelings, emotions and attachment to each other were clearly visible. They understood each other so subtly that words were not needed - it was fascinating.
I think that was the message. True understanding can live in silence, in a gesture, in a look. And when it happens, it's fascinating.
A masterpiece.

It's a movie in which silence speaks louder than words. I'm especially close to the fact that they don't try to sell the idea of "time heals" here. On the contrary: the film honestly shows that the pain does not go anywhere - you just get used to carrying it like that stone on your back.There are no convenient excuses and easy junctions in this story. There is only a confession: not all actions can be canceled. And the redemption here is not that the past disappears, but that, knowing your guilt, still try to be a little more human and, if possible, protect the other.
The final with the boy beats with this simplicity: the circle has closed, but now it has a chance for a little more compassion. It's not about "it's easier". It's about how to live on when there's a heaviness inside that you can't release.
For me, this is the real psychological truth - the one I appreciate in movies: when the motives of the characters are not chewed, but shown through actions, pauses and repeated rituals. Very honest, quiet and deep movie. Masterpiece

And between them is born not a beautiful story, but a quiet support: they understand each other without unnecessary words, and that's all the strength.It is especially catchy that the film does not hide the cruelty of the system and pain, but at the same time leaves room for cautious hope: sometimes it's enough just for someone to be there and understand everything. I wish everyone who was poisoned had such a person. This movie beats not with loud scenes, but with how accurately it shows this very need - so that you are simply not left alone. A very deep and honest movie that doesn't let go for a long time
