There’s more detail in the actual novel. It’s definitely worth reading and, despite the hate throughout the comments, JoongDunk really did do a good job bringing the characters to life.

DYTD deserved 12 episodes (or even 13 to match GBYFD) in order to help smooth the pacing even a little bit. I don’t know who makes the decision for show length but they consistently make poor production decisions for GMM.

Domestic KaminJade vibes continue to be a wonderful treat from this show. Also I want BTS of the phone call scene to confirm our fav daisy was 👉🏻👈🏻 off camera.

From the beginning I had maintained some hope that they would change the solution up even a little from the novel since it had a few plot holes that could have been exploited. It would have interesting to see them swap out Cher as the killers partner and Fai really was dead.

The biggest fail for this title has consistently been the chosen director, who was chosen AFTER initial casting.

Overall this was the weakest season for me. The atmosphere was lost bringing the cast to a hotel and, despite Tay and Sammy, the first half of the season was more cringe than anything else. Second half sort of made up for it but overall third season was still the best.

I think you’re right. Although I suspected it might be Cher helping the doctor until the crash scene.

I was strongly suspecting it was Cher as his partner until the car crash scene, not Fai but yes it definitely looks like they kept to the novel.

Top 3 reasons I enjoyed ep 8
1. AouBoom (esp Boom, I will watch anything with my sassy cinnamon roll)
2. More KaminJade vibes (yes I know it’s JoongDunk, I can still enjoy the flip in the dynamic for once)
3. Our Jade proving he’s most definitely not a wolf, he’s a Siberian Husky (sulky baby dog)

This director has a poor history and I desperately wish GMM had given this project to someone better.

Actually SeyDarin was a subplot created solely for the TV show. In the original novel the character of Darin was female, a lesbian (had an gf) and had a sibling like relationship with Sey who had his own bf. It’s one of the two main complaints the author had about this production.
I felt the same way as @soyu and wondered why their cp felt so awkward when they had good chemistry in Pit Babe. Don’t know why they made the decision make this change to the characters but I personally feel like it was a mistake.
