JoongDunk, Lego, Tui…I’m so excited for this! I hope the script isn’t a mess like DYTD or The Heart Killers🥹
DYTD had a crap director (along with some other issues), which ruined what could have been JD’s best series to date. Heart killers is watchable if you love the pairs. I don’t like the ending but, unlike the complete disaster that was the final ep for DYTD, it was well made just I felt it went in the wrong direction for the story. The thing about Heartkillers is the cast and crew treated it like serious drama (Joong, Khaotung and First all play red flags) but the concept/story is actually supposed to be a rom-com. It’s probably one of the best examples of how Thailand’s tendency to mix multiple/conflicting genres into the same plot can go horribly wrong. Well, at least as far as GMM series anyway.
Half way through Wu and Singha has really impressed me! I'm really excited to see her play Tee’s sister. I can’t believe she’s only 16 and displaying this level of talent.
I don’t know why but something about Niran explaining even enemies can be soul bonded feels ominous to me. I also want it clarified if the soul bond will transcend death.
Gotta give some appreciation to the supporting cast, especially the young ones. I’m coming to really adore Pete’s little gang of loyal goofballs. Honestly, if any of those three don’t make it to the end of the series I may lose it. And Singha as Yok is really impressing me. She is developing into a talented young actor.
The director. Is currently working on Weirdo 101 so it will be a while. Also, pairs that already had one series debut this year have lower priority. Due to OFDO, this title, Cupid’s Ghost with EarthMix and the new show that just got announced for JG will have to wait longer for a production slot.
JimmySea’s duet in LOL this year was incredible. Their aerial performance was breathtaking! And Jimmy’s thank you to Sea on D3 was so sweet! The level of trust between them is genuinely beautiful. I need to watch this series so badly now!
Rewatching the pool scene and I can’t recall a show that so perfectly captured the feeling of “heavy with the weight of things unsaid.” That scene is so amazingly well done. The ambiance, acting, camera work, and so many other details so well coordinated is incredible.
People here are just so mean man come on only first episode is out and you are already nipticking every small…
People will constantly nitpick any BL show, it’s probably not really worth it to become too upset. I’ve been watching BL shows since before SOTUS and sometimes you just have to take the complaints with a grain of salt. I can name at least half a dozen criminally underrated BL shows just off the top of my head. TTH clearly has a lot of support and followers, just as it deserves. Try not to let any negativity ruin your enjoyment.
What are we really missing? After both Sky and Nani saying there are more details on WU from ep 1 to 4. I'm seriously…
I strongly suspect Pete also has an ancestor with Wu blood. It really seemed like Ploy could see the change in the sky before the attack. Also, embedding a piece of demon in your child to cure his hearing loss is not only an extreme solution it’s also a very unusual one. How many people would have the knowledge, let alone connections, to acquire what was needed for the ritual and have it performed?
How long is this drama going to be with this many Qs?
The general consensus is 18 episodes total , which the number of queues does support. It’s possible that it could be longer but also the filming has taken longer because of needing the actors to develop certain skill sets that fit with the historical setting as well as filming in more remote areas is always more complex. I’m not sure how many of the sets had to be renovated or even built from scratch.
I am curious as to whether they will use a different bible quote for every episode. The use of that particular passage from Leviticus was an excellent choice for adding insight into ep 1. The meaning of the message worked on several levels.
Both Gemini and Fourth have decidedly improved a great deal as actors. I was less than impressed with Fourth in MLMU, he was such a disaster in that role. Here though, he’s already showing depth and maturity in his acting that speaks to his potential to be truly great.
For me, I think what’s missing in this story, so far at least, is why Tanrak felt such a seemingly instant connection to Barth that it actually knocked him out of his self imposed apathy. I really hope that as this story unfolds, that connection is explained.
I appreciate why P’Aof chose the mid 90’s as a setting for this series. I think some folks are missing some history though. Back then being called gay or a fag wasn’t just a homophobic slur, it was a way to ostracize anyone deemed remotely different. Too quiet, nerdy, clumsy, not athletic enough? Clearly you must be wrong in some manner so you were labeled as being gay and that made you socially unacceptable and a target for physical and/or verbal abuse by anyone who wanted power over others or just wanted a way to fit in/hide in the crowd.
I can already tell that Father Arnon with be the character I dislike the most. He is very representative of the type of people who do the most damage, often times with good intentions. From the beginning it’s clear he handled Tanrak very poorly. The result is a boy who is clearly pushing himself down a path that will most likely end very badly for him. Barth’s appearance in his life could be as much a blessing as a curse as Tanrak is so poorly suited for the role he’s making himself take on, it’s painful.
