A Lovely Yet Heart-Breaking Love Story

First of all, this drama is the first chinese drama I've ever watch. But even so, I have to say that I was really caught up with the plot and the act.

THE ACTING WAS REALLY SUPERB!
Their choice is very accurate, which is the male lead as the highlight. He is heart-wrenching, but also supportive and understanding at the very same time. The main plot is perfect for the acting of the main character. An innocent girl who becomes a really strong woman, and a very caring man who never stopped loving her. I had to say that cheng yi really did a good job, even in those cry scene, you can look to his eyes and expression and that will makes you wanna cry too. Hao Chen's character makes the conflict even more complicated and fun. Also the same with Wu Tong's twisted way of loving someone.

About the music. It was on a whole different level. It really capture the feelings of sadness and joy at the sametime. Some is really heart breaking but it is really beautiful. I must say their soundtrack made me fell in love with chinese song.

This drama is perfect, with a little flaw. Which is Linglong's character, episodes after episodes, I know that she is potrayed to be brave, but it eventually led her to stupidity. There are some scenes that made me wonder 'why did she do that?' and that really makes me frustated. The same goes with Mingyan's character.

Even so, this drama has led me to watch another and another chinese drama. I will make sure to rewatch this in the future.

It's just perfect!

Sandra Ma's acting is actually very great and lot better than what I expected. It's also the same with Bai Jingting.

The OST is a perfect match with the story flows and the moments. Especially, the opening and ending song.

The story is actually very cool, in the beginning you already got some suspense with the action.
Even though the story will focus on the romance more after that, there would be some scene like that ahead.

I REALLY WOULDN'T MIND THE FEW KISSES THEY HAD. In fact even if they just did it twice or once, I would still watch it. Because their chemistry (both the actors and characters) are very great. Even the hugs or some romantic gestures can make me scream internally, their relationship is, "Trying to understand each other and support each other through life and death." (Considering they really did save each other, well, what do you expect from a doctor and police couple?)

I am also deeply satisfied with the second couple story. Even though it's a bit draggy in the beginning to the middle and sometimes I got frustrated because of Shu Wenbo. I think, the conflict is very easy to solve but they made it longer, that's why I said it was draggy. I know that Shu Wenbo is supposed to be dumb on romance but, I think the pre-confessing part was very frustrating to watch.

But still, they still made me satisfied with the fact that they marry first than the main couple. Their chemistry after that really paid it all.

There is some conflict that would made you a little bit frustrated, but don't worry because it all will be solved with a satisfying ending on each conflict.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this drama. And the two last episode.. duh!

I would consider re-watching this drama in a few months.

An adorable drama about growing together!

It's a light and funny but super adorable and sweet drama. I personally really liked the ML. He is very sweet, understanding, caring. On the other side, the FL is a type of person who cares about other people and very supportive. She is also very understanding to the concept of growing together. Their tolerance is very high to each other to the point where you can feel how pure their love is.

The story from the start is fantastic. It really made me sympathize with ML but at the same time, it made me admire him. But then they showed the FL side on how kind she is, and how she react to sympathize with the ML. This drama is all about growth and dream. Reaching for the impossible, until it ended beautifully. In this drama, it showed that people that are forced to do something evil can also turn up to be a better version of themselves, whether you lead them or their own self-consciousness works.

The actor and actress are really superb when showing off their chemistry, while the supporting character brings out the funny moments. The OST also somehow capture a lot of emotion in every important scene. Up till ep.12 I'm really touched and cannot drop this drama at all, it made me crave for more.

I think it's a good drama to rewatch after some time. Because you can just sit and rewatch this while recalling a beatiful love journey of the leading character.

A Classic Forbidden Love + Body Swapping

I've been contemplating for almost a whole week since this show ended about whether to write a review or not.
So, here it is.

*WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH LBFAD*:
1. I admit, the first and second episode won't get you pumped up to marathon this drama BUT don't stop, give it a chance. For me, the ML, DFQC won my heart since ep 9, but I've been reading that for some, they found it interesting from ep 3. So, clear your doubts away.
2. Prepare to fall in love with the cast and their characters. Their acting, is that good. Gestures, micro expressions, and Dylan Wang especially did it fantastically.
3. A decent plot story with two opposing sides and a third party that spices up their conflicts. After watching far into the story, you will find that actually there isn't a single purely bad character in this drama (except Taisui). Our ML can't feel emotions guys and he actually only wants revenge for his clan. Ronghao? He only wanted to get his teacher back.
4. Yes, we are still circling in the very same chain of 'Domineering and Bossy ML', but rest assured, DFQC will not bore you, you can get to see his cute side and vulnerable side, especially when the body swapping occurs.
5. A relationship that actually has very little miscommunication and misunderstanding. They lied to each other. But they also forgave each other. It's the "If we are gonna face difficulties, then we face it together" relationship type.
6. The OST will get you hooked. My utmost favorite is the opening song (and I can see that many people agree).
7. Bonus: You will become obsessed with DFQC.

*WHY LBFAD IS A LITTLE BIT LACKING*: (My explanation for this 9.5 review)
1. Execution matters. From ep 31-36 it's truly like a speed run. LBFAD really needs more episodes. Especially for the two sisters part, which I found a little awkward. You guys know Jieli right? Even XLH and Shangque need a long time to gain her trust, and then her long lost father and sister actually appeared out of nowhere right when she's about to die? And she just accepted it like that? I found her bond with Dan Yin questionable.
2. As a continuation from No. 1, the ending is unsatisfying (for me) I need more details. Like, so what happens next? Will the two opposing sides stop doing war? Will that darned Heavenly Emperor approve their marriage? Will DFQC stop being the Moon Supreme or is it XLH that will become his queen? (plus, we need more fan service for the ending LOL)

My advice : Prepare tissues for ep 30-36.

First, cast aside your logic

I already seen a lot of ppl complaining about the 'brothel' scene like:
"How could a princess visit a male brothel?"
Yeah, that's why don't use your logic for the few first episode :)
If you don't use your logic, I found this drama quite entertaining and the depiction of emotion is quiet well.
First of all, SHE HAS A REASON for acting so childish and for visiting the male brothel. She only wants to bring shame to Duke Guangping (her dad) because all of the suffering she's had by her father and stepmother.
Secondly, the visual and the acting, well no need to say lmao. Their chemistry is so great. The crying scene of Shen Yan while he missed Liu Ling is one of the best scene in this drama (in my opinion) because Zheng Ye Cheng is one of the actor who deliver the emotions so well in crying scene.
The OST is also well done, ofc Zhou Shen and Liu Yuning sing very well.
My favorite thing from this drama except the chemistry between the leads is how the story unfolds.
This is one of those light-hearted drama where the leads just fall in love within a few episodes but needs a lot of time confirming the depth of their love and understanding each other.
I enjoy this one :) but probably won't rewatch this in the future. That's all.

I cried a river

There are so many warm scenes that will make you cry. It got a warm vibes and I LOVE IT!

Yes, the story is the main attraction, though the acting is not bad at all. They created a really touching vibe (for me it's when Dr. Ai can't inject Zeng Li with needles) and then the throwback moments suddenly spurs in it was just perfect.

*The Story*
Your usual idol story (yes), with a cold male lead and all, and of course, an ordinary girl living her life.
But even if this story is full of cliche, the ordinary moment that happened in other drama, it became soooo different due to the vibes. I binge watched this drama for 2 days (can't stop) and didn't felt the cliche whatsoever. The sweet moment are incredibly amazing. The path to understanding each other and the character development make this drama worth the watch.

*The Acting*
Both Wu Xuanyi and Bi Wenjun did well, thought they still can do some improvement. But what gets me is the acting of the other character, like Ma Yi Yi and Deng Hao Ran, their bickering are so cute that sometimes it make me forget about the ML and FL.
I can't say much about Wu Ying and Liu Yu Cheng, because I thought their love story is the most complicated (bcs of the age gap) and the pregnancy problems.

*The OST*
IT'S SUPRISINGLY GOOD. The OST really fits into their moments. It makes the scene double time beautiful.

*REWATCH*
I wouldn't mind watching this again one month later :)

A drama about healing

Simple and funny, but also a little bit heavy and deep.

I think the story itself is quiet unique. In the early episodes, it revolves around the scar the FL has. But ut slowly change and change until the main conflict and question, "How do you prove that it's love not guilt." I think the ML already answered this question, but the prove itself wasn't seen by the FL.

It is a story about healing, and how you still can love the person who gave you the scar. Yes, the conflict is deep and a little bit heavy on some subject, but the supporting character is very funny, also the act. I laughed 6 episodes straight because of how funny the ML was. And from middle to late episodes, when they are getting into the conflict, the funny moments are getting replaced by the supporting character.

I think the OST is standard and only some really captures the moment. But it's ok, still beautiful overall.

If will not rewatch this drama, because if you already get the moral and the main conflict, I think it would be boring to rewatch.
