Title The Eternal Fragrance Spoiler
‎my UNPOPULAR OPINION about the characters whom the writer seemingly set up like time bombs:

‎xiuyuan:
‎keeps everything to himself and never communicates or plans with anyone, including lifei. he bottled up his thoughts for way too long, only speaking up about taking everyone back home when his own clan members were already dying. honestly, if he had just told someone--or even given lifei a tiny hint--things wouldn’t have been this messy. just say it! tell her you didn’t kill her martial older sister or younger brother, and this whole problem would’ve been cleared up. just tell lifei; she’s always ready to listen anyway(maybe). Communication solves problems. remember that!

‎lifei:
‎she definitely hates xiuyuan. if I look at it from the writer's perspective, she lost all trust in xiuyuan ever since he deceived her about the fox. it immediately turned into hatred, so there was no need to look for any romantic scenes between them. there were none! the writer gave them all to tongzhou instead. just imagine if tongzhou were the ml--the whole perspective would completely shift--. she trusts tongzhou so much more than xiuyuan, without a single doubt. from another viewer’s perspective, they’d prolly think she loves tongzhou and doesn’t love xiuyuan, or they might think she’s stupid for not trusting xiuyuan. but xiuyuan’s problem is exactly what I wrote above.
❗Edited :oh lord how did i forget this part❗:
the writer made lifei so messy with her boundaries and relationship with both men. she never drew a clear line with tongzhou, prolly cuz she didn't wanna lose him as a friend. but like, i only found out at the very end that she knew all along he liked her and she wasn’t clear with xiuyuan either, even he confessed to her so many times. some viewers must have been so frustrated at the scene where lifei married tongzhou, no matter what the reason was.

‎no wonder some people commented before that they couldn't see any chemistry between the leads and questioned if it was because of her acting. Oh, absolutely not. the writer just wrote them this way. watching it, i don't feel any love between the two of them either. on the other hand, there’s definitely some strange, subtle undertone between lifei and tongzhou that the writer sneakily threw in. I can feel it, even though I can't prove it.

‎by the end, I could literally feel that the writer's pen had stopped moving; everything felt rushed. It suddenly cut to lifei and xiuyuan getting married and being in love. Like, what?! I haven't even seen them express a single ounce of love for each other yet. It was mostly hatred and suspicion between them. Then, out of nowhere, it just cut to them being happily married. What?! Before this, they could barely look each other in the eye. the emotional transition was so jarring that I was left wondering, "is this really the end? just like that?"

‎the writer did a terrible job with the main couple’s romance, and the editors cut it so frantically and messily. yet, they never missed a beat with the sml's scenes. Especially when lifei was with tongzhou, the camera would linger on them for so long that it frustrated other viewers. But I actually like it! Please don't call me a psychopath for loving their dynamic. i can't help it; they are just so refreshing to watch and their acting was so good. if they had ended up together, I wouldn't have minded. the writer had the choice to make them endgame, but he's just sml who's also a total scumbag. Haha. so that never happened.

‎tongzhou:
‎don't think too much about him. he's mentally ill. that's it. Period.

The soul of this drama (whatsoever it has) is definitely being carried by LXY's character. Atleast he has a definite…
if someone told me the writer shipped tongzhou×lifei, i'd believe it. but since he's the villain, they couldn't be endgame.

i love ep 31 the most. Ju jingyi and Zhao huawei delivered an incredible performance, bouncing emotions off each…
no exaggeration, but these two together are like a breath of fresh air and add so much depth. not that ml is dull, he’s just way too expressionless.

why do they always make ml save fl. she can save herself. let her handle it for once. even when she uses her ultimate…
can the writer stop using fl as a tool to make ml look noble and righteous?😒 You're basically using fl to glorify ml. this kind of writing is so outdated. if you can't write anything better than this, then go improve your writing skills first😒

even when she uses her ultimate power, you still make ml save her. this is what annoys me the most.

i support lifei×tongzhou cause ml's character annoys me asf.
just let them love each other and stop blocking them. MOVE ON! let time heal your heart🙄
ml n fl dont need to be endgame.

Title Wan Hua Sin
This drama is a novel adaptation. Since they decided to rewrite the script anyway, why didn't they have Ju Jingyi play the female lead in every world? The premise of the story is a soul transmigration, not a face/physical transformation, so there wouldn't have been any harm in keeping her as the lead throughout. The question is, what was the production team thinking? Casting 11 different actresses to play the same character will undoubtedly expose Ju Jingyi to criticism.

I know I'm not mistaken, at the time of filming they said it meant: the pearl of the earth.
The name is so meaningful😍

Bruh why would historical cdramas started giving female stars (especially Ju Jingyi) modern-like makeup? Like…
I believe it's all about the plot. Her character isn't just a regular person, she's supernatural. It's better to wait for the actual scenes; we might see other characters with similar makeup styles as well🥰
