No. What I mean is the editing, they gave much more screentime to the second lead rather than Main leads. The Second lead have much more scenes than Main leads. Fans are annoyed about this. Fans love the main leads of course, who will not love Zhang Bin Bin & Esther Yu?

As far as I know production team edits it on the instructions of censorship ( not all episodes are checked by censorship, it still depends on the editing staff). Yes. I read from Marcus Here, that there are new restrictions but the one who uploaded that deleted it in Weibo. So we will see if that new restrictions will be up for this year 2023.

This is China. China is still keeping up with their traditions. When it comes to historical, political, Wuxia or Xianxia, not all dramas (in that area) have romantic elements. In modern dramas yes, you might still see it, but when it comes to heavy dramas, they would rather have sometimes sad or open ending. You will barely see happy endings.
