1. I hate stoic/brooding/possessive/quiet characters. I'm not saying So is all those things, but I typically don't like his type of character, he has very little personality. I call them Trenchcoats, the either "I'm so cool and quiet" or "I'm so deep and neurotic" kinda trope I get sick of in BL, Manga, Manhwa and Fanfiction.

2. That's why I think Mon is an idiot, he can like whoever he wants and I can think him a fool for it. Its entertainment, I want the characters I like to get more screentime, paired up with people I feel they fit with and I don't wanna be bored by main characters. Mon is a character written by an author, my criticism then goes to the author for writing a boring character for Mon to get with or perhaps casting director since they didn't really have chemistry imo. He's an idiot to me because just like everyone else, that's what I tend to think of characters when they don't do something I want. They aren't real people, I'm more tolerant IRL but in entertainment and with fictional characters I know what I want to see/read/ect.

3. The fact that he's physically more my type is an unfortunate fact that only makes Mon not choosing him even more stupid to me. To me, Saint is a better character overall. More interesting, actually deep, dynamic, insightful, patient, wise, talented, introspective. If Saint was a totally a-hole or a manwhore then yeah I wouldn't care how pretty he is. Looks definitely count, but personality counts more and to me he's got the best of both in this series. I make the same arguments for Tofu, better character, better personality and better looking to me so yeah I'm gonna like that character more. Looks are just the proverbial icing on the cake. And I like it when characters are selfish sometimes, just like all of us. Its that selfless self-righteous grand-standing sacrifice BS that authors with big heads try to pump out to seem meaningful that gags me - its so phony and not very human. (not that this series has much sacrifice, its just another thing about LGBT+ and BL romance I don't like.) Sad endings too - I don't watch romance to be depressed anymore than I watch it to be bored.

Anyways Mon is boring too so its whatever. If they didn't cast someone with better acting, better looks and a character with a better personality as second fiddle then this wouldn't hairlip me. Never make a side-character more interesting than your main, never make a 2nd love interest better than the 1st and end game LI - its a mistake I see in BL again and again and again. Maybe women just have a different taste in men than I do.

That's so lame. All that dude did was follow Saint around sometimes so I don't care about him.

It's BL, so they almost never end up with the better guy.

Glad I dropped this, I knew he'd end up with Mr. Boring, they ALWAYS do. Freaking BL, manages to pair people up I don't think fit 8 times out of ten.

Yeah I already dropped that one, lately BL just isn't pairing people together in a way I like. Also, WHAT was even the story of that BL? I forget lol.

I'm gay and yeah I liked the commentary on LGBT+ but hated the ending lol, pretty much ruined the series for me but I still appreciate the great acting even if I think the writer is a sadist.

No, Saint's dad seems to have been against it and there were probably TONS of reasons why he felt he couldn't confess at that time. Then later, when he could, Mon was into someone else. So when he FINALLY gets a chance to confess, he does reluctantly at Mon's insistence because he doesn't want to feel he's taking advantage. Give the better man some credit. I don't mean to sound snooty but I get triggered by the "you snooze you lose" thing so I apologize for that. It's whatever though, I don't consider this a blindside like Teddy Bear was for me (I didn't read the books because I'm American and no English version I'm aware of). Him ending up with either of them would make sense to me but I prefer Saint, I find So to be boring and I just don't jive with his and Mon's chemistry. I have a soft spot for love over the years finally getting a first chance compared to spontaneous love (although I still love spontaneous love). I also tend to more or less always support "The Other Guy" if you know what I mean. Not out of principle, I just tend to like their characters more for some reason. Second-LI syndrome I guess. What I would like to see more of is what happened in I Told the Sunset About You. Give BOTH guys a chance haha! But yeah even in that one, I liked the Other Guy more haha! He was too sweet and understanding, and selfless. Maybe that's why they always lose, not selfish enough. And maybe that's why I love them, selfless people are very attractive to me because it humbles me, I'm sure not as selfless as they are and I admire them. Characters like Saint and Tofu, for example, are special to me in that way.
Now after many edits because I'm a typo king, my novella is done so apologies for the length lol.

Yeah I don't like even small age gaps when one of the kids is that young.

I'd rather they not insult Saint's character by just throwing him together with someone at the very end - especially not that lumbering friend of his.

That's why Mon is an idiot, he doesn't deserve Saint who is altogether a better person and from my perspective as a viewer, a FAR more interesting character and better actor.

I see where this is going, for now I'm dropping it. If Mon end up with Saint I'll finish with glee. Ending up with So, meh. Ending up alone... not the ROMANCE I signed up for lmao! Saint is better, Mon is an idiot, So is boring. My final thoughts, no hate on the actors of course but sometimes people think if you don't like a character then you don't like the actor. I hated Dolores Umbridge the character, the actress who played her was amazing! For me its the other way around - if I don't like an actor I won't like ANY character they play lmao! Ever notice how NONE of Alec Baldwin's characters are likable? Maybe its just me :P

They did his character dirty, I hope to see him in future BL with a happy ending for HIS character! Great actor and I really enjoyed his performance.

Maybe they should stick to adapting from fanfiction then lol. Or better yet, make an original BL not based on a book with an arrogant author who has to have everything their way or the highway apparently. They need show writers lol

Just as much as people give it a 10 without a second thought... it balances it out. My one single rating isn't going to change anything anyways. Kinda like voting for president in the US. So fine, I'll give it a 5 - mainly for the acting and chemistry between Nut and Tofu, Gen and Song. I didn't end up liking the story because to me the ending is the most important part of the story, the music was not my favorite. I'm not usually into age gaps but the second couple actors are only 2 years apart in real life so no issue there. My favorite character got the worst ending. Death or purgatory as an object once he's been human, either way horrid ending for Tofu. So I'm forever now weary of lakorn, I should have done what I did with The Shipper. Wait for it to finish and then vet the ending. Glad I skipped that one. But my BF wanted to watch this with me so I just went with it. Yeah my mistake I suppose. They marketed this as Nut/Tofu, I can't understand Thai so I didn't get the song lyrics until the end after they were translated and I don't read BL novels so I didn't know its source material. I don't think there's a translation for the novel in English anyways so it wouldn't have done me any good to research before watching :/

Hopefully he'll be in a happier BL where they don't bait and switch the love interest at the very end. Acting was the best thing about the show.
