I wish they were full-on brothers. Incest is only bad when its non-con, between those who can produce offspring or a major age-gap or power dynamic exists. Two bros, or two sisters, around the same age doesn't have any scientific or ethical reasons against it, only societal and cultural which are irrelevant to me anyways because some cultures think being gay is wrong and I don't listen to them either.
I'll be honest... I didn't like it. The pacing is jarring, nothing really connects the scenes at times - it just jumps from one thing to the next. It's pretty much just fan service with no real story. Not much of a build up to the romance. "I like you - "I don't like you" - "Here's some milk" - "Here's my locker combination" - "I like you" - "Okay" - "Let's hold hands" - "Okay". Don't get me wrong I think the leads are good actors and they do have a good chemistry but the writing to me is just bad. It feels more like a cut-down version of a full series with only the cute parts and a few dramas in a compilation. Even with the short total runtime I think they could have written a better story (Long Time No See is better imo and its short). To me, it seems they wanted to tell a much larger story than they had time for.

LOL you can say that again! Yes you are absolutely right, I see how this community is SO much different than what I'm used to and I like it so much more than getting down into the mud with people. True this community more reflects reality in that people in person are often WAY nicer and respectful. Eeeee okay yes! OMG MODC was such a good series but that weird, confusing and completely out of nowhere ending arggggg! LOL I love re-watching MODC but now I skip the last episode and then watch Love on the Line to finish it haha. I would LOVE to see the Xia twins (or at least one of them) do their own BL, especially with that unrequited love De had for Gu - it was so cute! And I totally shipped En and Chun haha! They don't necessarily censor it for us, but they censor it or allow it to be censored for China. Xi is a big fan of Game of Thrones, The Departed, The Godfather and Saving Private Ryan of all things lol! Ahhh I see what you are saying. Kinda like that one person tells the person next to them a short story, then that person does the same to the person next to them and by the time you get to the last person the story is completely (or almost) different. Yeah I was emotional and not thinking, didn't even think to verify so that's my fault. If the agency didn't ban M/M kissing then maybe it was a narrative decision? You know I didn't actually think about that, but it's so true! Never has he once used his ability to make a personal gain at the expense of another. Never has he once used it to harm another, or financially benefit. That takes extraordinary self-control and ethics to refrain from such a temptation. In that way Adachi is better than even most GOOD people :)
I've noticed, not in all, but in a lot of Japanese BL that the issue of homophobia isn't typically as big a topic as say South Korean or even Thai sometimes. The issues are as you said, more on a personal level of "this person is out of my reach" or "this person annoys me but I still like them" lol. LMAO I know what you mean by 'straight' lol. On the level, evened out, in harmony with oneself.
Chemistry, I'll admit, not only makes all the difference for me personally but it's a requirement haha! If two guys just don't jive, I lose interest. But when I see two guys who are so comfortable, so professional and feel so REAL in their interactions with one another - it gets me hooked. If they can convince me, they are not only good actors to me but inspirational. Yeah even with the lack of a kiss-scene (I usually at least want one unless they just touch lips, then that just disappoints) but the lack of cuddling/prolonged hugging too is usually a lot for me to get over - hence why I went into a childish rant the other day lol! It's because these guys are SO GOOD together I felt they could do more like other BL, but I didn't know about the whole contract thing and the agencies requirements (which I totally disagree with) being as they are. But I've gotten over it and I'm willing to make a special exception for this series after chatting with others on here. And also by the very fact that I do REALLY like this BL pairing, they have amazing chemistry and are really good actors! Ah yes, I really wasn't feeling the second couple. As before I just don't feel the chemistry and I, well lost interest haha! Thankfully most of the screentime goes to Kurosawa/Adachi. Oh I could too, I'll say something very unpopular in the BL world.... I loved SOTUS but I didn't care for SingtoKrist. Ok, I ADORE LOVE CHERISH Singto, he's absolutely AMAZING! Krist, however, always felt like he was forcing himself to get through the scenes and didn't jive with Singto even though Singto jived with him. LOL just one of my unpopular BL opinions lol. But I understand why people love them, it was a really good series.
Yes, I know a lot of Thai actors only dip their foot into the BL scene - there are some though who actually like doing BL and do it more often. MaxTul were really stiff because Max didn't understand his character and admitted to being uncomfortable at first, but yes he talked about how playing Korn opened his mind and heart and yes by TWM he and Tul were fire! I love it that he was positively influenced through his experience playing Korn :) Oh my that's why I LOVE TharnType, Mew and Gulf's chemistry! The way they play off each other so well, the slight chuckling grin Type gives Tharn when he's trying to act all annoyed SO COOOOOOT!!!! Sorry lol total fanboy here. Yes, I love the chemistry AND the comfort! It makes me feel good watching them and they make me believe! The better the chemistry and comfort, typically the better the acting too! Oh I've been watching tale of 1000 stars with my BF, he's a MAJOR Earth fan so he's loving it :) I think Earth is underappreciated so its nice to see someone bring his BL up :) And I agree the chemistry is there also. Oh I was wondering why I haven't seen Mix before - first role that's amazing! I can tolerate (even though I still think its kinda backwards thinking) agencies censoring certain elements in other countries - they have different laws and customs. I think actor discomfort is a bit inexcusable though - to me it's like WHY did you take the job then? They knew what they were getting into lol! It would be like becoming a cashier and then feeling uncomfortable touching money or dealing with customers lol! IMO
Yes Filipino BL, like Japanese BL and some Thai, is hit and miss for me. But when I see a Filipino BL I like - I LOVE IT! The Filipino BL I tend to not like are the more serious ones - not because they are particularly bad but sometimes just TOO depressing. BL is my happy source lmao! I only like happy endings in BL, I know that's limiting but the world is sad enough - I want love and happiness!!! :P But that's just me and I don't speak for others.

He definitely is - he's always there for me and loves me unconditionally which is more than I feel I deserve at times lol. Yeah I hate hate....:P I don't want all my anger to be misunderstood as hate though, I get mad at people I love so sometimes I get mad over things I like. Like this series, I really do like the main leads and their story. I definitely don't hate it but I understand how my outrageous outrage could have been seen as such. If I truly dislike something, I'll make a passing comment and then move on, I wouldn't write a novella on why I didn't like it lol. Disappointment usually gets me to do that, I get these pre-conceived notions when I like a series and there will be times I don't get what I thought I was going to get and then... boom! Man-child is born! Well not all the time but when I'm at my weakest. I had a similar reaction to Make Our Days Count, absolutely loved the series and then I watched the final episode...thank GOODNESS for that alt ending for their story in Love on the Line (err I think that's what it's called). Well that's show surgery and I have jittery hands lol! You delve deep into the lore and analyse it :) I do that on a micro scale with certain scenes, especially when I'm talking with my BF about an episode we just watched. We often have difference interpretations of glances/looks, body language, implication of certain ways of saying things. Stuff like that :) so we both go back and forth trying to convince the other but if that doesn't work we accept our difference and let the show explain itself (hopefully lol) as we continue to watch. Yeah I always like looking into the extra stuff, I'm probably not as avid as you and your fellows but I do like to check it out when I have the time.

Thank you! I was in a pissy mood and I acted like an ill-mannered child so I apologize for any distress I caused you. I hate getting angry because sometimes I lose control so I need to get a hold of myself when I feel the fire and calm down before exposing my underbelly to the entire net. My embarrassment is my just punishment for such explosive unchecked aggression. Egg is on my face, next to the crow hanging out of my mouth lmao! RandomUsagi is amazing - the people who help me grow are the ones I appreciate most, even if they are strangers. I've gotten to used to being on the defensive that I strike out before thinking and that's immature of me. I have my own BL's that are so personal to me, at the time I didn't think how what I said could be taken in so many different ways from so many people and that it might hurt each one uniquely which was never my intent but regardless that may have been the result and that's what matters. When I'm calm, I'm reasonable. When I'm pissy, I'm a jerk. So the best way for me to prevent further troubles is to just NOT POST when I'm angry. Calm down first, think about things, then post. Its so simple and yet me being swept away in the heat of the moment shows I have much to learn.

But there was vicious rumors spread about Saint by Perth's management (NOT Perth) and it caused a WHOLE drama BTS and Saint ended up either leaving or being dropped. I respect people like you and the others on here who really didn't have to even bother with me and yet you guys helped pull me out of the trenches and off the battlefield (I love metaphors :P). He definitely is - he's always there for me and loves me unconditionally which is more than I feel I deserve at times lol. Yeah I hate hate....:P I don't want all my anger to be misunderstood as hate though, I get mad at people I love so sometimes I get mad over things I like. Like this series, I really do like the main leads and their story. I definitely don't hate it but I understand how my outrageous outrage could have been seen as such. If I truly dislike something, I'll make a passing comment and then move on, I wouldn't write a novella on why I didn't like it lol. Disappointment usually gets me to do that, I get these pre-conceived notions when I like a series and there will be times I don't get what I thought I was going to get and then... boom! Man-child is born! Well not all the time but when I'm at my weakest. I had a similar reaction to Make Our Days Count, absolutely loved the series and then I watched the final episode...thank GOODNESS for that alt ending for their story in Love on the Line (err I think that's what it's called). Oops writing too much again lol.
Yeah I'll finish the series. And nothing is perfect objectively :P I'm really happy you could build a community around a show you all love. I mean discussing BL on here is how I met my guy, so I know the relationships formed can be pretty solid ones :)
LMAO! Me and my BF did the same thing with Until We Meet Again and counting how many times we heard "P'Dean!!!" lol and how many times Fluke cried lmao! He's really good at crying for a scene. OH, I didn't know she was asexual. LMAO true Kurosawa does smile at/because of Adachi a lot :) A lot of that is what kept me watching (until I read a freaking spoiler ugh) if I had just finished it first like I normally do I would have not made an ass of myself lol. Oh that's really cool! I don't know what if anything my government tells me is true but I was under the impression that Chinese people couldn't access the internet freely? Like its heavily censored and LGBT+ is on the list of censored things because of Xi so they wouldn't be able to see it? I guess there are VPNs though. Anyways it might all be bunk from the good ol' US gov. Glad Chinese fans have a way of watching from the mainland :)
Well that's show surgery and I have jittery hands lol! You delve deep into the lore and analyse it :) I do that on a micro scale with certain scenes, especially when I'm talking with my BF about an episode we just watched. We often have difference interpretations of glances/looks, body language, implication of certain ways of saying things. Stuff like that :) so we both go back and forth trying to convince the other but if that doesn't work we accept our difference and let the show explain itself (hopefully lol) as we continue to watch. Yeah I always like looking into the extra stuff, I'm probably not as avid as you and your fellows but I do like to check it out when I have the time.

*OMG this was so freaking GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!! Absolutely just, so freaking amazing!!! I hope there's a continuation because it seems like they were kinda setting something up there at the end - these guys are just so good together! They felt so real! Great chemistry, such a realistic approach and just this powerful natural feeling between the two. I know they are actors but they've got me convinced!!! I know Taiwan is good at making BL but I did not expect to be so moved! I'm still teary from it, it just makes me so happy! :D 10/10 would DEFINITELY watch again!
