Right now Victor is focused on Trin, he listens to Trin, that's one major reason I think Victor hasn't been protesting or doing activism lately. However I'm starting to worry that when Victor inevitably loses, because while SOME BL steers away from certain tropes most don't so it's obvious how its gonna go, anyways after he loses he's gonna slip back into his populist activism and end up getting hurt or worse by the end of the series because he won't have Trin to hold him back so to speak. If he ends up alone that sucks because I like his character, but just don't have him get arrested or kill him off that's all I'm asking.

I ship him with Victor even though I know about Thai obsession with fixed couples because I personally like Victor more and his interactions with Trin seem more genuine to me. Its entertainment not real life so I'm not looking for what's best for the characters, I'm looking for what I personally enjoy more.

Agreed, I like his character (and the actor) so far.

But will the Victor be Victoring? :P Sadly, and I do love the guy so far, I think he'll be losering.

3rd rewatch and I still hate Top (I like Force though). A certain level of narrative bias is to be expected but they REALLY want me to like him, which makes me not. Ghostship RayMew but Mew is so rigidly scripted into an emotional cocoon so that's impossible - and SandRay was the only couple I ended up being like "okay, that can work... maybe." Static couples, I can't stand static couples. Glad other BL nations don't do this. Ever get bored watching the same guys kiss again and again? I do, that's why though the couples aren't something I care for that much in this, I'm glad they got to shift around and be "couples" with others, and drama is always more entertaining than domestic fluff for me, though I like a little fluff too, but EARNED lol! Still a fun show, otherwise I wouldn't have rewatched :P

Well yeah, I'm only seeing the context of what the show has shown me so far. I was under the impression that Sheng hated him simply because his brother is the result of unfaithfulness and was blaming him somehow for it.

Sheng is a bad brother, its not his bro's fault he was born because their dad was a cheater.

I absolutely love Tontae and Victor's romance, I absolutely HATE the ending! Seeing En and De was worth it but the writers just had to ruin the end. I HATE when MC/ML dies, this is only acceptable if its a ghost romance imo. Sure some people love sad endings, more power to them. I DON'T! Give me angst and sorrow sure, but dammit satisfy me at the end with some goddamned hope! I've been waiting since MODC to finally get the Xia Twins in a BL where one of them is actually in an LGBT+ role and they do this, ugh! Actors were great especially with the English and it not being their first language, Nan was a likable ML in the triangle, even though I don't care for those either.

Well I mean you can like a concept or something overall but hate aspects about it, that's what I was saying like, its not all or nothing. When you say "snowflakes" it just sounds like you were coming from that position to me, that you distain anyone who complains about aspects they don't like and maybe that's a false assumption but that's why angry posting can cause confusion.

I don't like censorship and I wouldn't advocate for like something being changed because I don't like it, or try to get it cancelled. Ethics are about harm reduction and prevention, if no empirical harm is being done its not unethical. Morality is relative to culture and not reflective of universal human ethic but cultural bias and tradition as well as established norms but are arbitrary and vary. I'm not getting defensive, you are the one escalating with ad hominems, accusations and assumptions. And what I'd like personally is for bigots to be in boxes where only they can hear their own bitching but this isn't about my personal desires its about false equivalencies. I'm not advocating for step-bro relationships, I'm just against false equivalencies that arise from obvious personal prejudices. Maybe you don't want anything taboo associated with BL or LBGT+ in general because that might reinforce negative stereotypes and if that's the case, then I can see your point. But you came at it with a lot of anger and hostility, at least, from my impression.

I get that, but the word pseudo means not genuine, spurious or a sham. In other words fake, so I think the equivalency is a bit unbalanced imo, especially if its consensual but yeah perhaps I misunderstood your statement initially. I don't see it as minimalization when I simply don't see the issue with consensual peer relationships without coercion, force or threat and thus think equaling them to more serious offenses IS a minimalization, but of those other more serious offenses.
