Teenagers are fickle. They live in collective culture. If there is an outcast, in reality they will be outcast till the end. But of course for drama purpose, the outcast as main will gain acceptance in the end gradually. This is very typical HS love story. Nothing really new. 6/10

At first I thought this will be VERY SUPER BAD drama full of Girl Idols. But then I realised most of them are actress which make this drama less cringe. The whole drama is giving me Persona 3 with extra steps. And it gives me Tokukatsu without suit armor but school uniform as armor instead. The premise is simple but it gives "cheap". Yeah, probably produce on tight budget as the rest of late night drama. 6/10

The premise of this drama is actually just "Chiharu not communicating effectively".
It is not bad, but not great either. get a bit boring toward the middle. Can absolutely be better. 7.5/10

Good mystery but the plot is imperfect. It has the potential to be great but the suspect pool is so smol that by halfway through you kinda know ... who is the suspect.
The romance while great chemistry between actors, it started a bit unnatural. Like their feeling with each other started quite abrupt. I would like more if the feeling of yearning mix with hatred build up more naturally before they started to have feeling for each other. Because after that, great but leading to that errr...
I guess they dont have enough time and episode to include more proper plot. But still 10x better than most KBL out there

I dont understand MDL ranking. How this drama with questionable plot holes get rank so high? Did you guys just vote based on the actors visuals or something?

Like I never see a policeman so dumb like Tae Jeong. In normal investigation drama, police officers often portray as useless but him? he is on another level of uselessness T_T

I must say the plot is there but the execution is .... questionable. So many plot holes like some of it too deep even if you make a 7 layers of patching, it still sink. The execution went south deep into the Antarctic ocean. you need to turn off your brain to enjoy this drama cause questioning every plot will just make u insane

The leads chemistry is there. I give you that but it is not good enough to make me give this more than 7/10

Since the setting is in 1960s, so I kinda understand them going for political power marriage after the wars.

Also hating your son because you are suspecting him being your father's child is kinda understandable.

Teppei going through a tough time because of that and with people around him also think the same outcome is kinda sad. His life was ruined by the mistaken blood group taken during war time.

Ginpei is a spoil brat through and through.

But for Daisuke to turn to "new leaf" after his son's suicide and only after knowing he is his son after all ... cold hearted man. He really just throw away his mistress like that

Also if this is something that is been there since 1960s, money, power, politic and deception game seem to be rooted deeply in the society as of now, their bank related drama all have similar plot.

I did enjoy watching this. 7/10

Genderless is not really LGBT theme drama (if anybody was looking for one). It is just being one gender expressing their identity of wearing what is for man or woman. This is pretty much a trope that has been there in Jdrama for few years leading to this drama.

TBF, the relationship between ML and FL is very cliche and boring. It is very usual jdrama portrayal of young carefree couple.

The relationship between Meguru, Sasame and Yuutan is what save this drama from being too predictable and boring. Though I must the over the top management CEO was stressful to watch but someone LIKE HIS IS THERE in the industry. If one thing I will criticise is how shallow they portray the issue of them going against the CEO just for happy ending. Like in real world, this is a big deal.

Also Renn being narcissistic bishonen, classic. He likes the goto cast for this. LMAO. And surprisingly his relationship story with Asahi is much more exciting than the main CP.

It was not bad. But I was expecting something so good seeing how well the comment is but it was alright. 6.5/10

The way people only thinking which Ebidan X Toku actors gonna be the leads and it ends up as none of them are funny. I CANT STOP laughing. Im actually happy that 2 underrated actors who have been in several BLs finally get to be lead.
Uemura Sota - his most memorable role in BL is probably in The Boy Next World as one of the 2nd lead
Takahashi Rio - he is currently in Harutora as Sui's "friend" that everyone hated

Okay. I have to admit, I kinda love and hate this drama.
This drama is so absurd yet somehow borderline entertaining.
FL is the usual dual personalities, looks like sophisticated lady in public but like cute thing in private. She basically power harass her subordinate that she fancies since ep1. But since she is a woman, it is romanticized. If this is man, he will be called out by the FL since ep1.
ML is so incompetent at work. All his ideas are so absurd. I CANT. He is the typical cute and pure man in Shojo.
2nd FL is the usual annoying im cute, i can get all man doing thing for me but when that 1 man who she didnt like but didnt pay attention to her but rather to a woman is opposite personality of hers, she makes it a mission to steal the man. Shojo Manga 101 trope.
2nd ML is the one with more cool, confident and always think he can get all woman he wants. He is basically a mirror version of the 2nd FL. another Shojo Manga 101.
Basically, this drama is so bad that it is funny and entertaining. I cant believe I enjoying it more than I should. 7/10

First half of the drama is exactly what I thought this drama will be. A coffee truck owner who serves coffee each ep, listening to his customer problem and try to solve them. But I dunno why I was expecting this to be a 25min late night drama cause that plot is very common for late night drama. I was shocked when I realise this is primetime 50min drama. Like each ep has 2 stories. But toward halfway of the drama, we get the backstory of the main character. And it started to diverge into more deeper plot while keeping the coffee theme but not the usual barista listening to customer complaint. 6.5/10

1st season was bad. This season was no better. it was quite ... cringe. 5/10

I was misled to think this season is so good based on the comments. But after watching it I must ... it mostly just repeating the same cycle of plot process with just different main case. And the plot twist is not twisting at all. Very predictable. Was it bad? no. Was is great? not either. 6.5/10

That is just Japanese in general. Not only in Japanese BL but dead fish kiss is very common in Japanese regular drama too. It is just their culture. I do notice their kisses is a bit more than dead fish kiss when the drama is produced for Web

I think because western has no honorific. I remember I was shocked when my friend just called his sister and mother by names. like .... man, im Asian. if I dont call them Sis or mother, I will get a slap. They even get mad when I call them Aunt/Uncle cause they said we are not related

Okay, im surprised season2 is rated lower than season1 cause I think season 2 is better because unlike season 1 which is focusing more on the director rising as JAV director, season 2 focus on the downfall and it has more drama. It also show the evolution of the premise, with the director trying to chase the technology. And of course, while you make a lot of money, you make enemies. Backstabbing, Yakuza involvement, death etc. Im not sure how much of it is an actual true story, but if all of them, what a bloody industry it was (maybe still is? IDK). Still the director reminded me to some people I hate. Talk big, trying everything unconventionally to get what he wants yet in the end he make situation hard for others. I probably wont like the director in real life and how the drama ending ... so he has happy ending. Good for him but boring for drama. Also I wonder were Japanese women really that sexually deprived in the 90s ... 7.5/10

At first I thought this will be boring. A popular presenter that avoid to say anything unnecessary to gain favour from people while avoiding problem. After he retired from being presenter and works as PR in his alumni uni, he was hit an absurd request. Like the those old geezer directors wants him to talk out his ex-gf from his uni day like decades ago to retract her report about one of the prof fraud. LMAO. that is wild request and him who only like to gain favour, follow their instruction. I seriously thought every ep they gonna have new fresh plot but no, they have new plot but the previous ep plot bleeds into new ep till the end. So the MC actually did grow as person. Also they put an adequate amount of comedy to keep the ep entertaining, especially with the rogue newspaper club. 7.5/10

Soul swap is not something new in Jdrama. But this drama being a non-BL but has Arata kissing both Shohei and Tori are wild. The switching between Tomoe and Masao are well made. The drama is funnier than I have anticipated. Though Momochi can be a bit cringee some times, I like how balance between the comedy and the drama. 8.5/10
