That is why you don't watch dramas through reels and make judgements. She is a pivotal character but it is mainly…
LOL the irony in your comment.

So now he has a mini mom by his side. Why is it that one character after another is just unbearable?
Right? The FL is a terribly written character, and that whiney voice of hers is grating my nerves.

Maybe FL did it? After all she also one the main leads.
At this point, halfway into the series, we cannot believe she is playing a main role anymore. Her screentime and character development are absolutely laughable.

Barely 7 minutes into the latest episode, and the FL is getting irritating already. Gosh, her lines are so cringe worthy. The time skip has done her character absolutely no favours. And making her dress up in that skimpy outfit while ML is wrapped up in his long coat out in the cold weather makes her look even more desperate for superficial attention (oh wow, so pretty, such long legs…) than ever.

Heck, as much as I despise the mother, her character development is so much more interesting. The teacher’s very short screentime this episode also portrayed significant vulnerability. Even the detective helping Pi-O search for Jeong Yeo’s whereabouts is more believable than the terribly written paper-thin caricature that FL is turning out to be.

Did the FL even appear a single second in episode 5? I know she will be around next episode but heck, her screen time in this series is so pathetic. The other supporting characters are getting more exposure than her, so this role is really very unnecessary and very shoehorned in. It’s been almost half the series and she hasn’t played any significant role at all.

Come on, the FL role is a joke. It’s been four episodes and her total screen time hardly makes up fifteen to twenty minutes in total. In this episode, she appears less than the Eden agency head even. It’s so patronising for the producers to give her the FL label when she is clearly just a supporting role in the grand scheme of things. Heck, even the promotional materials that feature her are shoehorned in, with very minimal impact anyway.

On whether it’s a BL or not, it really doesn’t matter to me. It’s a good story, the MLs are both killing it, and the supporting characters add sufficient tension and momentum (except for the FL for now). I’m on a BL fatigue break since there are just too many to consume at the moment, but this drama is really … chef’s kiss.

Hahah. I mean there is a lot of chemistry between females too but that doesnt make it gl. Romance is more than…
Why are you replying every single comment that just wants to state that at this moment of the drama, the bromance is extremely suggestive? Why are you acting as the gatekeeper of other viewers’ opinions of what they are watching? The two MLs are being directed to give each other smothering looks with faces just centimetres apart. If the producers and directors are deliberately using two good looking men acting as teenagers and employing the typical BL tropes, what’s the harm of viewers just stating their opinions?

I feel so bad for Gyuri, literally no one talks about her or even makes edits of her 😭 everyone’s treating…
Yeah I don’t get your comment either. What’s your main purpose for watching this bromance coded drama? The two boys are literally holding hands and sleeping on each other’s shoulders. Why would anyone make edits of a FL who appears in less than 10% to 20% of each episode, and with very mundane dialogue or connection with the two MLs? If people are saying the BL stans should take a chill pill and calling them out for wanting this very suggestive show to be a BL, then sorry, the straight shipping stans should also wake the hell up at this stage of the drama.

Please someone slap Pi O’s mother 제발! I can’t stand her manipulating ass
Yes, she’s easily my most hated character right now. She is the typical vapid toxic MESS of a self-loathing, pathetic loser.

If only the writers were brave enough
Totally agree. Their chemistry is INSANE, and the whole drama is so BL-coded, no matter how naysayers are denying it.

am confused ...in the show did they ever hit a minor who didnt do anything wrong or his actions didn't have any…
There is something extremely problematic about the social fabric in SK. Yes, they’re enjoying an extremely popular, privileged position as a leading country in the entertainment industry, with millions around the world totally enamoured with their celebrities. I dare say they are more popular than many Hollywood stars these days. However, their society remains backward in the way they treat women and the way the public seem to believe that they control the celebrities’ lives. Worse, the levels of bullying, domestic violence and suicide remain deep-rooted issues due to the way they treat one another. They may be appear to be bowing and greeting one another, but the way they abuse one another verbally, physically and psychologically is so scary. The highly competitive nature of their school and workplace environments is another complex problem that seems to permeate the lives of Korean citizens.

Meh. Started strong, but once the BL elements got reduced and FL started crushing on the ML, the storyline became unbearable. Worse was how little we learnt about the other characters, and the last scene with Jenny’s farewell was a joke. This character literally didn’t need to exist AT ALL.

Am I the only one that thinks Park Min Young is waaaaaaaaay too skiny??????? I've seen her in so many dramas,…
I think she has many insecurities about her physical appearance, especially now when she’s no longer young. This is a cruel industry for women though. Men who are around her age can just keep showing off their pecs and abs to remain relevant and desirable. It’s much tougher to be a top female actress.

Wi Hajoon doesn't deserve to work with such a bad actress again.
I can’t seem to get through the first two episodes of her most recent dramas.

WHJ excels in dramas that are more action-packed AND has comedic elements in there, with other male leads.

It’s ok… the PMY fans are probably not too happy about the show’s ratings.

She still has legions of supporters despite her acting having always been quite mid. I guess they are aging as gracefully as she is apparently doing so, together with her. :)
