Watched till ep7, and I liked the mirror demon and his lover's acting more than the ml and fl's acting. I don't know if it's the actors, or if it's their characters that were written bland, but I find myself drowsing away whenever the leads appear. They don't have much depth in terms of emotions and are serious all the time. It's pretty boring to watch them being serious all the time.
Also, I feel like they overdid the anxiety and fear part. All that ptsd stuff with the fl felt so unnecessary. And for an "expert" demon hunter like the ml, couldn't he figure out early enough that the mirror demon could use anything reflective as a tool for transportation? I can't believe that he missed that point at the beginning, given how he's supposed to be "smart".
All in all, I like only the mystery part of the drama. I'm not able to get into the lead characters or their chemistry, as they are so bland and I just can't feel them. I wonder if this will change in later episodes.
Is anyone else facing issues with kisskh? It's not working for me since yesterday. I tried all the links, but none is opening. Just showing "page took too long to respond".
Wait, why are people saying that the psychopath is the main ML? Is it confirmed? Why does he get to be the ML? He didn't help her when she asked him to help save her life by buying that pearl for a higher price, he stomped on her hands countless times, he abused her worse than an animal by tying her to a rope and pulling her along the ship in water, he was enjoying it when another moron poured blood into the ocean to lure shark towards the pearl divers, so on and so forth. So I want to ask, did the director loose his mind and forget that all these are psychopath traits? Why is she supposed to romance him? Are the writers nuts?
This one is surely on the darker side. Having said that very enjoyable if you like this kind of story and characters!
Ok, thanks! I think I'll skip it for now then. Maybe when I feel like watching something heavy, I'll pick it up! Just want to know, is there any abuse between the leads? Or is it just conflicts?
(But, well before, the drama's official website had already provided this introduction below:⬇️ )Murong Jinghe,…
Thanks for the summary! After reading it, I do think this is heavy on revenge and conflicts between the leads, so I think I'll skip it for now. Maybe when I feel like watching something heavy, I'll pick it up!
Can someone please tell me if this drama is heavy on revenge and politics? I just watch around 5 mins and it does seem that way. So can someone please clarify? I don't want to watch a drama heavy on revenge and politics right now. Can someone suggest me some good romance dramas which are not too heavy?
if u think he is bad then wait for the second male lead in all his glory to show u a real villain
First of all, I haven't watched after ep9, so giving me any spoilers here is of no use. Secondly, you can't justify his actions based on someone else's actions. Even if the 2ML turns into a villain, does it erase off what the ML did to her till now? Does the past suddenly rewrite itself? Nothing will change the fact that the ML abused her again and again like an animal, that too after using her to get all the information he needed about that Wei envoy to capture him. And I despise him for that. Period.
Ep9: I want the ML to die the most miserable death possible. I don't want a "happy ending" here, nope! I want him to be torn into pieces million times and be subjected to the same type of abuse he inflicted on the FL. I can't stand his violence and hypocrisy anymore. That pig cries injustice and revenge all day, but goes and frames innocent people for his crimes, and tortures and kills them. I don't see any difference between him and the ones who wronged his family. Neither do I feel any bit of sympathy for what happened to him in the past. He is a sociopath who loves to play victim all day and abuse people for his sadistic pleasure. I don't want to see a romance between a perpetrator and a victim, I'm not into Stockholm syndrome. I dragged myself to watch till here, but I don't know if I can watch this anymore. I can't believe I even made it till here. Edit: Also, I want to add how I find it so disgusting, that women's lives matter nothing to these people. Everybody telling the 2ML to not care about the FL's life and to let her just die in the prison is disgusting. A man's aspirations are more worth to these people than a woman's life. God forbid a man tries to protect a woman, he is deemed stupid and silly and is told to "get a grip". Yeah, coz apparently, a woman's life is not worth anything to them and can be tossed away anytime they want. This is the reason I don't watch historical cdramas of this type, where female characters matter only when it comes to romance and the rest of the time they are tossed around by the ML as they wish.
Ep 5: Not even 6 mins in and the a**hole is throwing ants on her. Please for the love of God! I barely managed to get back to watching it again after contemplating for a while whether to watch it or not, because I was put off by the ML's ruthlessness. Now I get to witness this! Don't tell me the FL is supposed to fall for this monster!!
There are a lot of conflicts between different parties + states. I think by episode 4, it might be more clear…
Thanks!! I guess it's a little clear now. I think I need to watch more episodes to understand. It will take a long time for me to wrap my head around all these different parties and their motives.
I'm on episode2 and I find it so confusing, my head is aching. FL's shifu is trying to sow discord between the Pei family and the King. But isn't 2ML from the Pei family? And based on what they showed, the King likes the 2ML. So how come he is scared of him and his family? I don't understand. Is the King really trustworthy? Is he a separate party apart from ML and 2ML? How many parties are here in total? It's very confusing.
is d*ram*a cool blocked in India now? I'm not able to open the website since 2 days. It's showing an error message "took too long to respond". It's the same case with other websites too, even the variety show website. Is someone else facing the same issue?
She stole the idea from ML PPT and because of that PPT I think she got to know where she can find the exact scent…
Oh, so did she copy the ML's concept as it is? Because I don't remember in which episode, but thy show the FL giving her completed presentation. And I don't remember her mentioning anything about reviving historical scent. I'm just finding this very confusing.
She stole the idea from ML PPT and because of that PPT I think she got to know where she can find the exact scent…
That's what I'm asking, what exactly is the idea that she stole? If it's the idea of making a candle brand selling good candles, they've shown that the FL had that idea from the starting itself and had been working on it all along, so how is that being considered stealing? All I can understand from what they've shown, is that the FL came to know about the candle making master from the ppt and she contacted him for collaboration, as she had been desperate for a supplier for her own candle brand proposal. The candle Master made the choice to collaborate with the FL, so how is it considered stealing? Also, what exactly is the gf's job? As per what they've shown, it doesn't seem like she makes any candles, so she's not a candle Master.
If im not mistaken, Eunho's gf prepared that PPT and from that presentation, Naeon stole her idea and went to…
No, Eunho's gf didn't prepare that ppt. She was against the idea of collaborating with big brands. This is the conversation they show between Eunho and his gf in ep18: Eunho: You have such a great idea, but no one recognizes it. If a big company like Segye Group does the marketing, it will be great as more people will know about it. GF: You are on that again. Brand identity comes from the one who came up with that idea. What's the point of using Segye group's name and hiring Masters? Eun Ho: I want to make your brand a global one, Da Eun, that's my dream.
You can see from this conversation that Eun Ho was ambitious about making her idea into a big brand by collaborating with big companies and his gf was against that idea. So, it's clear that Eun Ho went behind her back and prepared the ppt.
There are also a lot of things in this conversation that are confusing to me. What exactly is this idea they are talking about? Why does Eun Ho think that big companies which have their own brand, would do marketing for someone else's idea under some other brand name? They already have a management and branding team set up exclusively to come up with ideas to market under their own brand. Also, his gf says, "what's the point of hiring masters" - that means she wasn't even keen on collaborating with candle making masters, so does it mean that she wasn't even collaborating with the old Master?
There is also another scene in ep 18 which shows a newspaper report titled "Candle factory in Namyanju caught fire". The only candle factory they showed Na Eun collaborating with, was that of the old Master's. We also saw that the gf accidentally tripped the candle, and her shop was caught on fire. Based on what they have shown, the gf's shop is not in the same location as that of the candle factory, so which candle factory are they talking about? Did the gf also make candles and she had a factory? Or did the Master's factory also catch fire? Does Eunho know that Na Eon has nothing to do with the fire at his gf's shop?
You mentioned that Na Eon stole his gf's idea - which idea are you talking about? If it's the idea of making a good brand of candles, it's shown that Na Eon already had that idea from the starting, so how can that be considered stealing? I'm very confused. What exactly was his gf's job and what exactly did the FL steal?
Episode 19: I'm kinda confused. Eunho's GF is not the one who created the scent right? The Master is the one who created the scent which Na Eon branded. Na Eon also didn't steal the scent. She got proper permission from the Master to brand his scent. Then why is it so that Na Eon "stole" EunHo's GF's work? I really don't understand. I was thinking all the while that Eunho's GF was the one who formulated the candle scent and Na Eon stole it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Also, didn't his GF say in previous episode that she doesn't want to collaborate with big companies or something like that? Then why did Eun Ho go behind her back and prepare the ppt? I really don't understand.
