So which scene is real, the first one or the second one? Because those 2 scenes look very isolated from each other. There is no way the fl would leave her sister with NH alone after seeing them like that. And the cut to the second scene is... abrupt? Like they suddenly show fl and 2ml waiting outside and the ml bringing her sister in his arms, and all of them are chill suddenly? And they believe his lie that her sister met bandits? Like I don't understand.

Can someone explain me what's happening in ep22? Didn't the FL find NH with half his clothes and her fainted sister in his arms and misunderstand the situation? Then why did they show another completely different scene afterwards with a caption "1 day ago"? I'm confused.

I don't understand, why are they not showing the actual kiss? They did this in LBFAD too. The bts scenes of their kisses were WAY better than the ones included in the drama.

You're welcome. Agree, the comments justifying the ml are very tiring. Some are not even bothering to READ what's written and are just saying whatever they want to say. Just ignore them.

She's judging him based on what he DID to her. He tried to kill her "multiple" times simply because he thought that she "might" be a threat to him. She tried to kill him only "once" and that too only because he wouldn't leave her alone. There is nothing "untrue" in that. She is innocent and he DID try to kill an innocent person by trying to kill her thinking that she was some kind of a witch. Honestly, the one who misjudged and took action based on that wrong judgement is actually him, not her.

In the starting of ep14 and I’m going to be honest - the way the writer is trying to force pity on NH using his past as an excuse is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Previously, NH went to FL’s home and played victim about how he’s being “misunderstood” by her and lectured her for disliking him. He himself agreed that he was wrong with the way he treated her, yet he didn’t care about apologizing to her for his behaviour at all. Just how can you yourself agree that you have treated someone wrong, but don’t care about apologizing to them at all? And then throw a fit that the person dislikes you?

Ngl, I’ll be very disappointed if the writers make the FL pity NH and fall in love with him, without a proper apology to her from him. I can’t accept their relationship without some significant character development for him.

Also, the narrative that he isn't "that bad" is over-the-top ridiculous for me. Someone who tries to manipulate a girl into falling for him, with the sole purpose of wanting to use her family's political power for his own benefit, is "not bad"?? And when she refused to meet him, he literally made people carry her to him, and that's in the NEW script, not even the old one. She tried to avoid him as much as possible, still he forced himself into her life with the intention of using her. He tried to kill her so many times in the NEW script, she was lucky enough that the screenwriter controlled his actions and made him take the hit.

Just because he does some philanthropy work, he doesn't automatically become a "good" person. He still is a POS, especially from her perspective, as he tried to KILL her multiple times.

In the OG script, he was even worse. He cheated on his wife, hit her, got her sister pregnant while being married to her, ordered to shoot arrows at her, let her fall off a bridge and buried her half-surviving body in a barrel in the cold palace making her a living corpse. After learning about all this, why would any sane person want to know about his so-called "good" side?? How would it help them at all?

I'm sorry but I don't think someone who cheats on his wife, hits her, gets her sister pregnant, orders to shoot arrows at her, lets her fall off a bridge and buries her half-survived body in a barrel in the cold palace making her a living corpse, is a "good person". Just because he does some philanthropy work, he doesn't automatically become a "good" person. He would still be a POS especially from his wife's perspective. If it were me, even I wouldn't bother reading the whole script.

Yes, I'm watching ep4 now, and I'm loving how he's getting a taste of his own medicine, lol!!

Can someone tell me whether the ML's character becomes any better? I'm in ep3 and he's been a jerk till now. I can somehow tolerate forced romance if the characters are good, but here the mix of a toxic ML with forced romance is making it difficult for me to continue. So, can someone who has watched more episodes tell me if his character gets any better?

For simplicity, I’ll call their past selves from another timeline as HRY-P and BJS-P. I agree that they (HRY-P and BJS-P) probably didn’t get to grow as required, to actually understand their mistakes. I think that BJS-P especially, doesn’t even know what his mistake is, because she explained it only to HRY-P and not to him. And I found that to be disappointing, as it defeats the whole purpose of the time travel, i.e. to let their past selves know their mistakes and learn from them. The whole thing started because BJS didn’t feel the need to explain anything to HRY and acted on his own. Although, I agree that both of them made mistakes - HRY also went too far with her revenge trying to kill him multiple times, but I think that towards the end, HRY did learn her lessons - we see her reflecting on her mistakes multiple times in the last episodes. She also acknowledged that BJS ended up in such a state because she hurt him to that extent. Even BJS realized that he should’ve communicated better with her. But I don’t think BJS-P realized his mistake as she didn’t explain anything to him. So, it defeats the whole purpose of time-travel (until HRY-P explains things to him herself). But I do agree that we didn’t get to see their proper growth arc, they never had THE conversation, you know. They didn’t have enough time to do so with things happening one after the other.

About the time travel arc, after a lot of thought, I think the only reason for them to add it was to satisfy the viewers and give them some peace. So many of us felt frustrated with the lack of communication between them, and some of us even might’ve wanted to see them to just have the TALK. So, I guess they added that arc just to show that communication happening between the characters. Though I felt that its addition was unnecessary, I sure felt relieved when they cleared “some” of their misunderstandings, even if they didn’t actually have the TALK. So, I’ll just take it as a closure for the viewers rather than an actual plot segment.

While I agree about the message given here, what I don't understand is, why use all this time travel concept and complicate things? We understood the message even without those scenes. And if she did give them the choice to make better decisions, then why did nothing change? Why did BJS still die? Why did XJS still become consumed by dark energy? The only reason BJS became so weak was because she repeatedly tried to kill him and took away his protection pearl. So, if the misunderstandings were cleared between them with the time-travel, there was no way anyone else could hurt him, and he could never become so weak. She is the only one who can hurt him or kill him. So honestly, I don't understand what exactly her helping them changed anything at all. Again, what I'm saying is, the message they were trying to give is understandable, even without the time-travel plot.

I'm really confused about the ending. I don't understand why the present remains the same even after changing the past. Even more so, I don't understand why the concept of timelines is coming here. I feel it's just the writer's way of complicating the ending. Am I the only one??

Ok, but if it’s not Xiao Jingshan who orchestrated that, then who is that guy who incited the mob to attack her? Yu Ya said that he was already dead 600 years ago. And this incident happened around 400 years ago. So how did he come back to life after 200 years? There were two people BJS enquired about, and it’s shown that one of the guys, the travelling immortal guy who gave her the book, was XJS himself who disguised as one of the dead guys. So, how did this other guy appear?

Ep29:

Poor Siling, she has so much PTSD from back then. It’s been over 400 years and she’s still suffering. Why wouldn’t she, what she went through was worse than hell. I was so pissed again when they were showing those flashbacks. I thought she would still show sympathy for those mobs, but I’m happy that she reacted with vengeance, that’s the normal reaction. But this time something different happened. She had someone to embrace her, that embrace which she yearned for but never got back then. I wonder if that hug from BJS helped her heal even a little?

I’m confused about one thing though. Did Xiao Jingshan cause all her misery back then? Did he orchestrate to lure the mob against her family, just to let her suffer the pain which he suffered? The guy who was actively leading that evil mob against her was actually supposed to be dead by then (he was dead 600 years ago and the incident happened 400 years ago). So, I wonder whether it was Xiao Jingshan who plotted to turn the mob against her. If that’s the case, it’s too cruel, because she was the only immortal who tried to actually help humans, while the rest of them acted indifferent to their miseries. It’s too f**ked up to inflict pain upon someone who actually tried to help out. Like what kind of logic is that?

She should've given that advice to BJS. He was the one who started all the misunderstanding without telling her about his actual reasons for his decisions.
