I am currently watching GMC's right now and for HHW's I saw it two weeks ago. Most of the people who already saw both versions like GMC's more. It felt more raw and rustic; like he's dirt poor and you feel he's dirt poor. They said it is more cinematic (I kind of agree) and heartfelt. I guess that's the beauty of first versions; there is something in them that is nostalgic and magical.😅🥹 As for our FL, I am fine with LXY. She delivered her character well. I will continue watching and see if this is worthy of people's praises.

Which was the first version? His or GMC's?

I used to know an author that writes about kpop fanfics and around January this year (I've been busy with work 😅) I was able to speak to her again and asked if she ever tried writing about other celebrities. She said she started dabbling in vertical dramas. I gladly mentioned if she knew SQX and she said yes. Apparently, she has five stories all active and ongoing. She shared it through GDocs. By the end of the year she's planning to put it out for free on TT and AO3. Though her story posters are already in pinterest.😊

I have been postponing and pausing JJ's dramas if I ever caught one. For some reason I just can't continue watching it. Is it the script? The artists around her? The acting? And I owe it to my defective eyes (😅) that I clicked on dramas I thought she was the lead. I already mistook three actresses: Tian Jia Lou, Li Li Zai and Zhi Chu He- for her. The posters are unreliable at times. Haha!
I really hope that she'll have a drama that will hook me again and finish it in one sitting. If you have link recommendations, I'm willing to take it.😊💞

These two versions are what I like as well. And possibly Wang Yun Yun and Patrick Quan's version being the third one. I saw WPY's version first before WH's but still, they got a certain charm that is unique to them.

I am not sure if there is a change in stance when it comes to a "rounder/more robust" actresses/actors in their entertainment industry.
All those who appreciated her and her acting skills are probably outside China; those who were able to watch her from YT or other social medoa platforms.
But since she's having a good amount of following and her projects are now completely hers (ex: no changing of FLs), I guess we can see some light.
And yes, a little upgrade with the wardrobe/costume department is a must.😅
They tried dressing her with the style/design for petite women but there are good outfits for plus-size women.

I would love to see them again; either in this drama's sequel or another one with a funnier and more comedic plotline.
Huang You Tian kind of mastered the ancient/historical set-up and I hope a more modern drama with Sun Qian Xun would be suitable.

It's just so sad that we cannot see the names of the child actors on majority of the short dramas and they aren't even in promotions. I would really love to see their projects/roles and their names included in the cast.
The Chen twins, Teng Yi Meng and all the others. They deserve recognition as well.🥹💞

What is the name of the child actor? Is that Li Ming Rui? Who is Zheng Xiu Zhen? I saw these three names in a post and cannot fond them in MDL...🙁
