Would be great if zhao liying was willing to reprise her role.... but then at the same time its impossible as…
I wasn't really expecting her to reprise her role (though it would have been nice) but they could have at least found an actress in her 30s. They were such a power couple in season 1, the very obvious age difference changes the dynamic for me.
I loved the first Mystic Nine season and I really like the two episodes I've watched so far. The atmosphere, the costumes, the characters.... But I'm bothered they chose such a young actress to play Yin Xin Yue. In the first season her and Fo Ye were of similar ages whereas now she is so much younger I can't see them as a married couple. I really like the character and her wits but here I feel like she is too childish especially opposite an older Fo Ye... I guess we won't see her much and it won't bother me enough to not enjoy this season but I would have loved to see an older and more mature Yin Xin Yue...
I'd really love to see Mongolia and Japan in the finals. From the trailers it seems there is a task we haven't seen yet that looks like a siege on an ancient city (kind of a "take the wall of China" thing) and I would be really disappointed if Mongolia didn't do that task. But in general all the teams were impressive and it seems like there was a good atmosphere on set (you can see the athletes commenting on each other's insta, it's really sweet)
nahh, he's good. Found him a bit annoying in the beginning. But Team AU grew on me, they were pretty chill and…
I felt the same at that moment but honestly seeing them in the next episodes and how respectful they are to their opponents I really think in the moment, with the stress and the exhaustion, they didn't think much about it. There was no rule against it, it wasn't specifically stated those where Japan's chests (though it was obvious) and they had no chests left. But I do understand your point of view :)

I completely agree with you. I find them very respectful of their opponents, they cheer everybody on. I think it was quite a culture clash so they seemed extra loud and I feared they would be entitled but I don't think they are. In general the atmosphere seems very friendly and I think Australia and especially Dom contributed to that.
