This might be the only show I’ve watched that I’m rooting for a unhappy ending haha don’t get me wrong I’m still having fun but at this point I will never be convinced they should be together

So it seems like the cop knew and was fond of mariko mother from the way he was talking about her maybe even interested in her and now he’s romantically pursuing her daughter. If that turns out to be the case then that’s so gross

Could have been one of the best moments of the show them seeing each other right as he’s leaving for war and him finally giving up on her but nope looks like he’s going to run to her probably say how sorry he is and make up. I can’t defend this show any longer lol

Mini drama episode cliffhangers are on another level haha

They should have showed little hints that he was only pretending to be nice but they didn’t. It was portrayed as genuine and then two episodes later he’s right back to his old ways. Those sweet moments didn’t fit his character at all and came across so strange and unnecessary. And agreed the actor is very good in the villain role

Literally like two episodes ago I was watching the crown prince and the 5th prince having these cute goofy brotherly moments together and I remember thinking it just felt so out of character and now he’s trying to take his wife by force. Not a fan of some of the character writing in this show

Okay this is going to be an unpopular opinion but I don’t think a happy ending makes sense for this story. I just don’t see how they can pull it off and make it feel believable especially after everything the characters have already been through let alone what’s still to come at the wedding. I think this one needs a tragic or bitter sweet ending at best

Yeah at first I thought Qing Yu wanted to continue with the engagement to keep her away from Qing Yi because he thinks she bad for him. that’s completely understandable as a brother but no he’s just using her as a tool to kill and doesn’t care if she dies in the process which would completely crush Qing Yi. So now I’m just confused seems like he doesn’t really care about anyone

Okay I need the backstory for the Qing Yu because he’s just a straight up villain now. First he didn’t give a damn about the girls from the orphanage and now he’s ready to ruin every relationship and hurt everyone including his brothers. I take it he’s been on his own path of revenge this whole time as well

I understand some of the criticism especially of the first 3 episodes but after that the back story is out of the way and it really starts getting entertaining. So if the story sounds interesting to you or you are a fan of the actors then why not give it a try

What was that scene with the 5th prince hand feeding the crown prince. That was so unserious like is the 5th prince a villain or not? with goofy moments like that I find it hard to believe he’s going to turn out evil

Alright this show has already exceeded my expectations and played out better then most recent Kdrama romances. so even if we get the classic breakup before the last episode as much as I’d hate it I will forgive them haha

We are nearing the end and I’m genuinely going to miss this show so much. definitely my favorite on screen couple of the year so far and this has been my favorite show to comment on and discuss

I’ve only ever seen Zhang jing Yi in one other drama besides this one and she didn’t really stand out good or bad but her acting in this show is blowing me away

Damn episode 26 was heavy 💔 I’m so ready for them to be happy

Yeah he doesn’t yet but I’m sure he will at some point And even so it wouldn’t be good for his reputation if I another man is getting close to his fiancé

Personally I just think it feels a little off at first because they speed run the back story and the emotional scenes don’t have any impact like the train scene for example. Kinda hard to feel anything as a viewer when we only have like a 10 minute montage of them being together before that

Every single drama goes through ups and downs in rating at the beginning even the best ones. So if it’s something that sounds interesting to you or has actors that you like why not just start it and judge for yourself?

How is Qing Yu not already side eyeing his brother for showing so much interest in his fiancé. Things are going to get so awkward between them soon haha

This show is the perfect example of why I give Cdramas at least 5 episodes before I judge them and decide if I will continue or not. Because the story starts falling into place and getting good in ep 4 and 5. Now I’m hooked
