no I'm starting to really hate her in later episode . her little act of motherly affection don't satisfy me in any way when she can be so cruel in another moment. very realistic tho lots of parent are like that.

i know Qi Shi will become successful because she's female lead here . but a lot of intelligent people never get out their ordinary life because of missed chances. i feel so bad when i see the different kind of life Cao Xin is living , and i hate no one fought for her.

what i mean to say is if the swap didn't happen Cao Xin would have been the one missing the exam and the mother would have definitely felt bad about it and wouldn't try to settle him for a stable job when he's a talented person . her mother never wanted Qi Shi to compete with Cao Xin . i think Cao Xin gets priority from both his original and adopted family. Qi Shi on the other hand do not . Cao family reaction to her was yeah she'll be fine . only her dad really treats her as his own .

i feel bad for the Qi Shi the most. her original family didn't want her and the second one don't seem to really want her. her mother said really harsh words to her which she would have never spoken to her own son. i the swap didn't happen Cao Xin would have been the one not getting to college . except her dad i don't think anyone has her as their first priority. grandpa only want to be a cool grandpa when he wants to , didn't really wanted or loved her . poor girl .

all the people who considered luan nian from the early spring toxic they are on a ride for this one . he was such an asshole in the novel. i thought he was a villain when i was reading it lol

I read it in Chinese. in the ending shen nuo's character was just a rich young master who sometimes helped MC. they only got together in the last parts of the novel. in the novel basically, every bad character died or ended in a way worse situation but they also committed very heinous crimes. eldest uncle and his wife died. The second uncle and his wife got divorced and ended up pretty badly. lian hua after her miscarriage got fed some type of medicine that made her really fat and her husband lost interest in her and got a lot of concubines slowly she died alone. lian ye was actually not the daughter of the second uncle but of the third uncle who was very timid and had no son so had no confidence. She actually recruited a husband in the family to live with her. grandpa died because so many bad things happened in the family and Grandma hated MC's family so she just remained a one-dimensional character. the drama is much better and gives a lot of depth to everyone.

I'm so happy they changed the story from the novel .it's much better this way. sure there could be some changes but overall I enjoyed the drama more than the novel.
