Better Than Expected
Watched on a whim and glad I did . A great storyline with a good message and a satisfying ending. Excellent all round acting . In particular the M & F - leads. Nice costumes and sets. I would have been happy to watch another 18 episodes of this, if they could have filled out the storylines a bit more.Was this review helpful to you?

Simping Princes
Not sure what went wrong with this . I didn't feel there was much chemistry between the two leads. I found the acting okay, I guess, but not always entirely convincing . Not a big fan of all the continual simping princes , infact I found the M/L, at times came accross as a little obnoxious. The ideas were there but for me the story line was poorly executed.. I did force myself to watch it through to the end, and liked the paternity twist, but believing the M/L had died only for him to suddenly reappear at the last minute was bonkers. On a positive note the sets and costume designs were great as was the music score I'm glad I watched it, but it wont get a re-watch..Was this review helpful to you?

Everyone Dies.
Having put up with everybody continually being poisoned,stabbed, shot, falling off cliffs or drowning and then recovering.
It was almost a blessing when everbody finally actually died.
The producers and directors were having a laugh at our expense.
On a positive note the music was excellent and the acting was okay.

Poor Pacing
Good story , great selection of characters and storylines nice costumes, sets and some beautiful scenery . I felt however that the pacing was bad . The ending was rushed and there could have been easily another 2 or 3 episodes following Meng Ting Hui's return to her homeland and the liberation of her countrymen. Better still reduce some of the earlier episodes and storylines so that more time could be given to expand the ending. All in all a good drama with a less than satisfying ending .Was this review helpful to you?
