I heard about Xiao Heng giving up his army for her but it turns out he did so because it was all a part of his ploy? He even said he needed to make Wanning believe he was solely driven by love. So that means the thing he said about him not caring about who rules the world and only wanting her... That's false. I am probably being childish but I don't like that he's so calculative in love.

Ahhh... Makes sense. Another thing I've been thinking of is, why does Jiang Li ask him to use her as a chess piece? Why did she once say she was happy to be useful to him? After thinking about it, I feel like it's because, ONLY IF he values her as a chess piece, can she use HIM to fulfil her goals. I remember her emphasising that they had the same destination. What do you think?

OMG. SO MANY GOOD MOMENTS BETWEEN THEM. The talk she had with Xiao Heng about how she was nothing more than a chess piece for him... That gave me so many feelings. What are you guys thoughts about that scene. I feel like there's so much to unpack there! She even mentioned that he might be afraid to use her life for the country. I feel like I both understood and didn't understand that line. And xiao heng's reaction to that...

WTH?! Zhen huan decides to leave her newborn daughter in the palace and go away?! I understand that she's devastated right now but her daughter is the only person she has. How can she abandon her as well? Her daughter does not deserve to grow up without a mother's love
