I just noticed that Joe have never acused Ming of pretending to be someone he is not or even for the way he treated him. Why? Because Joe felt in love with Ming, red flags and all. He acused him of not loving him back and wanting Tong, because that's what really broke him.

You're missing the whole point of the car scene. Joe knows who Ming is, he even told him. You can tell anything about Ming, but he never pretended to be nice in front of Joe. Joe isn't blind, he just loves him, flaws and all.

I hate people who pretend to be good. At least Ming never play nice.

Ming is a total red flag, but he never gave up on Joe. Never. When Sol and Wut thought he was dead, he was the one searching for him. He didn't need anything to feel Joe within his new body, just one encounter was enought. Of course he isn't gonna let Joe go, he knows Joe loves him and Ming is nothing but a fighter.

In real life, most of us wouldn't touch someone like Ming even with a pole, but as a CHARACTER he is pretty interesting to watch. People keep asking mature BLs and then can't handle a mature relationship. Toxic? Yes. Full of red flags? Also yes. But it's so fun to watch.

I think Up was perfect in his sad scenes. Ming is not as expresive, his performance was on point.

Ming is trash. Joe knows he is trash, we all know he is trash. But Sol, the so call good person, is manipulating Joe into being with him.
