I am loving it. It is my antidote to The First Jasmine. I am thoroughly enjoying this couple and having so much…
That’s so funny, I can’t believe I’m watching and enjoying a modern drama with LHF…I almost exclusively watch costume & fantasy/wuxia. 😂
Rosy Clouds is generally a super silly and light romcom. I read subtitles so the dubbing hasn’t bothered me much. I don’t really like the VA for Li Yitong here, but it’s become tolerable after a few episodes.
I’m mainly enjoying the eye candy of Deng Wei, Joseph Zeng, Tian JiaRui, Riley Wang, and Cheng Hong Xin.
lol
There are lots of funny moments and cute ones too.
It’s not too heavy or serious.
Dai Lu WA’s character is really funny.
It’s not the best drama but it’s def not the worst either.
It was unbearable for me at the beginning too and I went into this not liking Esther very much. Ended up being…
I watched when it first came out. Had been watching Cdramas since 2018-2019.
Her voice really grated on me at first but I’m a sucker for fantasy so I continued.
Eventually I accepted it as part of her character and noticed it lessened in intense childishness as the drama progressed.
I ended up loving this drama. It’s in my all time favorites.
Rewatching it now and I’m not bothered a bit by her voice.
Funny how things can change. Letting go of ingrained prejudices can be hard and some people Might not be able to…but imo doing so can lead to some wonderful experiences.
They both ick me out SO badly. Like, Jun isn’t bad looking and has some decent qualities…but he ruins all…
Right?
Omg, hadn’t gotten to the bday dinner scene yet.
The mom is UNBEARABLE.
Rude af about DY’s employment position and place of origin.
Where TH does she get off being so high n mighty? Not like their family is rich, especially dignified, or her son has some stellar high paying professional career.
Now shes’s shouting across the table being loud and dramatic?
No wonder DY bolted.
Frankly I’m shocked she went to Jun’s house for his bday at all.
Ugh. I don’t have a single nice thing to say about this crazy woman.
The dad doesn’t have much of a spine, but at least he seems like a more reasonable and easygoing person who only spies on his son to go along with his controlling wife.
I wish the writers wouldn’t make DY end up with Ju n…but we know that’s the plan. 😮💨
Younger men with not much media literacy or understanding of how to form healthy relationships with women watch this kind of nonsense and take it to heart believing if they stalk, pressure, and coerce a girl she will eventually cave and they’ll have a happily ever after.
I was glad when DY told Jun off and laid out his unappealing issues. But now it’s like that scene didn’t happen.
Maybe I should skip the scenes with Jun/his mom to preserve my sanity🥲
I can't stand Jun Cheng and his raggedy ass Mother
They both ick me out SO badly.
Like, Jun isn’t bad looking and has some decent qualities…but he ruins all of them with his creepy stalking, pushover mama’s boy shtick, not having a sense of what’s appropriate in public (shouting, touching over n over after being told no, and embarrassing DY with his extreme fan behavior), and ignoring his job to go talk to his mom.
Come on dude. No woman in her right mind is going to find that stuff attractive or acceptable.
Don’t get me started on his mom.
I have a 19yr old son and it makes me feel sick to imagine treating him like that, invading his privacy, and trying to control his every step in life. GAG. I could NEVER.
Don’t care what anyone says or how low they rate this drama.
The main couple is HILARIOUS and so wholesome.
I absolutely love them & their interactions.
Today watching him tuck her in, mimic her pouting in her sleep, and giving her the teddy to sleep with was adorable.
Then the debacle with his ruined shirt buttons and his sad attempt at sewing had me cackling.
Modern dramas aren’t usually my thing, but I don’t see myself getting tired of their dynamic or not wanting to see more of their love development anytime soon.
Very enjoyable so far and the leads are good! I’ve always like Hankiz and feel that she just needs one breakthrough…
For real. She’s a very talented (and supremely gorgeous) actress who just hasn’t gotten the right project to fully break thru with.
First saw her way back as supporting actress in 2020 in Dance of the Sky Empire with Xu Kai & Wu Jia Li. She immediately caught my attention with her beauty & charm.
I had hoped Love in The Desert with Alen Fang would be the drama that finally drew more attention to her talent and set her up to become FL in higher quality dramas.
The sexual tension and attraction between him & Hankiz was off the charts! I thought they both did a fantastic job.
Unfortunately some unsavory plot points involving the 2nd couple really downgraded the experience for me overall.
I liked their acting as SFL & SML and thought they were well paired as a couple.,,but the story made them pretty unlikable and downright loathsome at certain points.
LITD wasn’t a bad drama at all. Still, it didn’t quite hit the threshold to become Hankiz’ breakout performance that would get her widespread recognition.
Really hoping this drama gets good word of mouth (and continues to be good quality) so she can finally become better known and appreciated as a n actress.
I’ve seen ML in Burning Flames & Dashing Youth. He was very good in both. He also had a decent small part in Moonlit Reunion.
He & Hankiz are almost too pretty together😂 But I’m not really complaining. I’ll continue to happily feast my eyes.
Here’s hoping the drama becomes a sleeper hit and gains them both new fans/better future prospects.
I also think JJY is doing a great job as FL.
Editing has been kinda wonky in a few spots but like you said, really not that terrible.
Mostly it’s been very enjoyable so far.
Who wouldn’t?
🥰
Immediately had the same thoughts about TEF after a few episodes.
I’m enjoying it, but then again, I’m always a sucker for this type of xianxia.
He’s made every effort to become a better man on her behalf.
One of the most swoon-worthy MLs ever.
😌💓
He never showed the slightest romantic interest in her.

I’ve loved the show up til now but I’m dreading it rn.
LHF and Rosy Clouds have been my stress relievers.

I think as a mom with a son I’m extra repulsed by her behavior.
It reminds me of those creepy self proclaimed “boy moms”.
🤮
For sure the dinner scene was also my last straw.
I legit didn’t think I could loathe her more…how wrong I was😅
I’m in solidarity with u for skipping that nonsense from here on out.
Omg, hadn’t gotten to the bday dinner scene yet.

He plays a masked Dr in Legend of Rosy Clouds.
Funny enough I guessed it was him just from seeing his eyes thru the mask.
He has very distinctive features and unique eyes.
He also has a special presence that came thru even though he wears a mask as Jiang.
I thought he was super hot in My Journey To You.
Love to see him get more exposure and higher quality roles.
But hey, I’m glad my words worked for you.
*im not actually mad, just shocked and amused.
