If this series were a bit more sterile you could sell it to hospitals for disinfecting. I have seen NatGeo documentaries about three-leged cockroaches giving birth to jellyfish-like eggs who bound me more emotionally to them. The actors behave sometimes like in a trance. Like they are reading the one sentence they have to from a teleprompter. What's with Aek? Why does he act like this? I don't even understand the whole dinner scene.

I think, this series is more about the shared affection to food and creating food than the love to each other. The BL here is just in the background, like a deep underwater current, sometimes coming to the surface. I guess, some are disappointed of this lack of apparent BL so far. Just ask yourself: do you like it, are you entertained? If not, maybe to put in on-hold or drop it (You means here more the non-personal "whoever", not necessarily "you" in person).
I just finished. Yes, it is slow-pace and yes, there is not much happening, but with all in life: Some like it slow, some like it fast. If this were fast, this forum would be full of complaints how fast it were...
What I feel a bit of too much: Aek's friend Vich. It is too redundant. The plot is parallel to Aek's. I mean, it is the same: be a trainee, fall for the chef... All the puns and comical scenes we have seen with the two girls in the restaurant and Aek, we see now again with Vich. Not really a brilliant idea to have two of the actors doing the same.
Although I love the scenes with food and the sight-seeing in Nan, I was and still am a bit scared that this goes into the "Cupid Coach" direction. Anyhow, episode 6 was free of any advertisement hints, I think. Someone commented below how happy s/he was to see a bit of Thai history, but honestly, if I want to see history I would watch a documentary. Same with food, by the way. I acknowledge that the director wants to make us understand how deep Aek is bound to his home and how much he loves food style.
As for the critics here: Don't make yourself always centre of the universe. If you don't like, then don't like it. Leave your comments or drop it. And if you find it a cineastic masterpeace, be happy and watch it. Accept that others have other opinions. The world would really be boring if all people liked the same.
Wait why did 13 eps became 15??? Been patient this whole time and there was finally 1 ep left they added 2 more?!…
So far I wonder how I survived those 13 episodes. This second season is far from being about Benjo and Emil, it is about the maid. The preview of episode 14, this short glimpse we got, looks like it is their wedding. And now we also have to deal with Christian, the small boy, and his problems. Nothing I really am interested about in a BL series.
I have been watching Golden Blood - the movie, or episode 9 on WeTV for roughly 30 minutes now. Am I wrong or is this just the series put into movie? There is nothing new??? All scenes are from the series so far.
Youtube just mentioned this, and lockdown-bored, I watched it. Maybe my mental capacity is also affected by endless lockdowns, but somehow I don't understand this series. I watached all 4 episodes, and the scenes look all the same to me??? They look like re-used, or are they flashbacks?
So, there is Renz. And his bf, Unknown-Boy 1. They live together. And UB 1 cheats Renz with UB 2? Renz finds out, and throws the stuff out and is angry, gets drunk and has sex with UB 3??? And Renz finds it out that his bf, UB1, cheated with the friend, UB2 in three different ways? 1. The live video, 2. the condom. 3. their date in the car???
The fact that episode 3 played nearly all time in the dark and somehow, the boys are always caught backwards or their faces hardly appear, and they never use names, makes it totally difficult to me to understand what happens to whom with whom.
Then a boy called Hon is mentioned, appears, or better does not really appear.
And in the end he comes back to UB1 (in the last scene I learn that his name is Sam)? Or is Sam someone else?
Ok. I made it. Well, the ending was one of the most unspectacular ones I ever watched. I assume the untranslated Thai text says: 2 years later??? In my opinion, the main couple had no real chemistry and just did not fit. I mean, they are both handsome, but just do not match. Casting totally went wrong. Each other in other series might work.
There seems to be a lot of cuts in the series. The first 7 episodes followed a lot of side-stories. They all disappeared in episode 8. What about the third male couple? Posters and the pictures during the parts on Line TV show 3 couples. I actually can only remember 2, Nut/Satha and the two friends of them. The character and boy I liked the most was, actually, Latte :D Okay, I also need to admit that I liked Nut. If I wanted a bit more mature bf I chose him. His Instagram photos are quite hot :D
There was also a hint on one of the disappeared side-stories, a professor-student relationship?
The series looked raw and unfinished. Maybe this is due to these endless lockdowns now here in Thailand, so actors and producers cannot really follow their ideas. I can only speculate. The idea of the series was, in fact, nice and could have produced a magnificent series.
In fact, my own hope and imagination of this basic idea was the reason why I watched it through. I just am not the guy to drop things totally. But we also need to admit, this is not a highlight. It does not have any re-watch value and I would not even think of rewatching it during the hardest lockdown on Earth.
All we can hope for is that the actors might try to progress and appear maybe as support actors. I think the main actors' role were a bit too large to fit them in this series.
Episode 4 is so beautiful but we know shit’s about to go down with only two episodes left 😭
I am afraid, Dominic has to fight for his place in his dream university now. And to be a valedictorian and Luke probably will lose his scholarship, at least in the next epsiode. I hope it ends well for both of them. Maybe they have just to overcome their believe in signs? :(
