Yes. There is too much staring at each other going on. I mean I get that the ML actor is a looker but there are too many scenes where they are talking about how good looking he is or show him walking in slow mo with the OST playing. Also you can watch the entire show in 1.25x and not miss much. Just the work stuff was fast which not many would want to watch or pay attention. I watch them only because it is related to my field and something I am interested in.
Checked the cast and it has so many short drama actors like Richard Li, Zhao Yi Qin, Shu Tong and so many known faces but I do not remember the names. I have to give it a try at least for them being cast here.
I made the mistake of reading parts of the novel and I am so grossed out. So anybody thinking of reading the novel, please don't. The novel has them at 30 and 18 year olds. The way the guy is literally called as little fresh meat is so creepy. I couldn't even watch yesterday's episodes.
All I can say is, the show has improved on the source material. the breakup was necessary and it gave the ML time to grow into his own as a fully grown adult instead of the college kid he seems to be in the novel.
Good to know its his own voice. I quite liked the OST he sang for another drama - Love Amidst a snowstorm. For anybody interested about the songs here goes:
Does the ML character have a different voice actor here or Daniel Zhou has done the voice too. I see that the FL and Cheng Rui have voice actors credited in the Cast & Crew section. Anybody knows the answer or where to check? Thanks
Finally caught up with the drama and I am quite enjoying the episodes. I thought the age-gap would be make uncomfortable but the way they showed it was quite natural and not weird. I was more skeptical about the power imbalance with one of them being an orphan and the other having everything but the FL seems oblivious to his feelings about her so it works for me.
Ofcourse Junho was always good at the acrobatics dancing style of his group but he still brings the same energy, talent and efforts to whatever he does. I admire his hard-work and dedication to his craft.

She doesn't yet know about the innocent people deaths by him. His evil brothers, Ji Bozai and Situ were fighting in combat. Worsening Ji Bozai's poison is a severe crime but does it warrant a death sentence? I mean he was going in that direction with poison already. I am not trying to defend Situ but Ming Yi . She does not have enough info about him to kill him and of course she is indebted to him with all his favors.

People can't be punished for ill-intent alone unless they act on it. Situ had not yet implemented the array yet, he is shown struggling with his thoughts. Its possible he might overcome his bad thoughts. Of course we as viewers know he won't but the characters themselves do not.
Loved the series. Good casting of the actors, direction, pacing, art and set design. The sad scenes or couple fights are only for 1-2 episodes. This is a series that is trying to entertain viewers by giving happy scenes(mostly) and not sad or pitiful scenes.

Yes if the story is planned in such a way from the beginning like Arthdal series etc. Not like how kdramas are doing where they have 2nd season if the first one is a hit. It is just lazy money grab. Funny how only hit series get 2nd seasons. I will believe they have a genuine story if they are making a 2nd season for a show with flop season 1.
Yes, we need more romcoms and hopefully there is less of the murder whodunit. Also need more of Yim Siwan in a mainstream romcom lead role. I feel he is getting typecast with those same old introvert/innocent face outside and pyscho inside type of characters.
I am so confused... Is the FL some big star in China at the time of release? Why is she cast opposite Xiao Zhan when the drama has Wang Churan and Lu Yuxiao as support characters? Because her acting is definitely not better than the other two?
