No doubt this is one of the most hyped ones but is it just me who finds this one really flat? There was little to no story, at the very beginning you will know what is happening here. All the characters seemed interesting but lacked depth. for half of the season, there was no growth in the story and it maintained a flat tune of survival mode. Most importantly last two episodes were the detailing of the first 2/3 episodes, that is! I don't know if there will be any sequel or not because there was lots of plotholes or unanswered questions.
So if you are looking for actions only go for it but don't expect a story.
I want the exact same thing in a drama! Do you have any good recommendations of good satisfying revenge drama's?…
I'm new to the K-drama world, so I don't have many names in mind to recommend at the moment. However, I'll mention two:
1.Vincenzo: I'm not sure if it can be called perfect revenge, but its protagonists are really badass characters, and they go head-to-head with the antagonists at every step. Although some elements of it feel a bit dragging and sometimes irritating, it was quite decent to watch.
2. Perfect Marriage Revenge: This is more of a makjang genre, but it's very short and speedy. However, as a drama, it's not very well-made, with underutilized resources and some plot holes. But in terms of the revenge aspect, it's quite satisfying.Apart from these, I've heard recommendations for Weak Hero class 1 and The Glory, although I haven't seen them yet. Not sure if these are worth recommending.I'm not sure if I was helpful. If you have a list, you can suggest some to me 🙂
Well, I already know with whom the FL will end up, thanks to lots of reels and comments. But even after watching half of the drama, I haven't seen any development that shows the ML becoming the ML! In any need of the FL, SML is present, protects her, helps her, and tries to understand her, yet the FL doesn't seem to develop feelings for him, that's absurd. The most useless ML I've ever seen is in this drama. I mean, if he was supposed to be the ML, then his story needed to be written differently, right? This drama is giving me the same vibes as Boys Over Flower, where the chemistry between the SML and the FL was more prominent than with the ML.
I'm honestly so baffled at how people judging YG behavior. i think both were in the wrong, and it's not only YG…
I haven't watched this drama until now, so I can't comment on it. However, in general, I feel that the fault lies more with the writers than the viewers. In the last few dramas I've seen, I've noticed this issue more. Female characters are sometimes portrayed in a way that seems unreasonable, and misunderstandings are depicted in such a way that male characters appear as victims and the female lead as inconsiderate. The subject is portrayed so subtly that viewers become confused.
I am on Epi 3 and feel like I am watching Deok Sun from Reply 1988!! the FL's characteristics are so smilier! I don't know why many of the viewers didn't like her but I really loved her on Reply and also liking her here.
because in every single drama there has to be a breakup around episode 12👩🦽👩🦯🚶♀️🏃♀️
I do understand that and I don't have complaints against Break up if the reasoning is good. But this one was lame and made the FL to some extend hypocrite and annoying. I mean she did the same because her BF was toxic, than why judging the ML when you know that is was more of a business relationship. From here this cheating theory is coming? And most importantly I liked the webtoon because their relationship was healthy, there was no unnecessary misunderstanding. Which is completely lacking here.
episode 12 was not interesting rather annoying! the reason to break doesn’t make any sense. I don’t know why they changed the original story! not liking this stupid melodrama at all!
I am on episode 8, half of the drama is gone. the first 3/4 episode was very entertaining. but after that it’s just back and forth. no satisfying action, just repeating the same things. many of the things are either unnecessary or without much impact. most importantly almost all the characters are super annoying and full of hypocrisy. the name "The World of the Hypocrites" would be more perfect. and those who are expecting a satisfying revenge, please keep your expectations low cause there aren't many.
Unpopular opinion: but I can't hate ML's dad. I understand his grudge is illogical and kind of selfish, but then again he lost his loved one and that wouldn't happen if FL's mother didn't insist. So being human it's natural to put the blame. I know his actions are wrong but I can't hate him. I feel sad for him. The same to true for FL's mom. She is been suffering from guilt for a long time!
it becomes boring like hell towards the end. there was not a single badass wow moment of the ML and FL. It was a villain-favored show. I do love strong villains, that makes the story more interesting. but that doesn't mean the protagonist will only win by luck and none of their plans will be successful until the end! it's super frustrating and not fun to watch at all. I hardly bear till epi 10. but after that, I had to watch at 1.5x speed. what a waste!!
what i seek in a revenge drama is satisfaction! I want to watch the villains suffering. but this one lacks of that completely. they are saving the villains for the end only. They showcased the ML as a notoriously smart one but as a viewer I hardly get to see any of his charisma. I am on epi 10 and still the villains are only getting away. they didn't suffered..... not for Once. it was good till epi 5/6 then it became flat. also it’s a law thriller but the courtroom drama is also missing. it’s a complete disappointment to me.
I am on ep 12. The plot is quite interesting, and the cinematography is absolutely gorgeous. and to me, LMH is the cherry on top. It's not a masterpiece, has many flaws but overall the drama is enjoyable. There are some plotholes and some elements remained underutilized. I will recommend it. to me, it's an 8/10.
I am binge watching now that it is done and someone please spoil and tell me if the psychopath adoptive mother…
yeah, just keep watching. she will get what she deserve. not only just at the end, but her every step will be bashed through out the whole drama. it’s sooooo satisfying 🤭
epi 3 was really good but epi 4 just lost the track. I had to watch it on 1.5x speed, fast forwarded many scenes. i don’t think those gangster cringe plot was required. The story and plot already have so much to show why unnecessary filler! hope things get better in upcoming episodes.
I just finished it and I must say it left a good vibe. Story wise it's very much predictable and average but some of the elements made it really enjoyable. One is the little boy! he is soooo cute! He literally stole the show. some good points to add- 1. the kid 2. both the leads act mature, no unnecessary childish activity 3. eye candy ML 4. Decent amount of kissing (not actually hot one, rather casual and sweet 5. Smart FL (it's not common in drama)
If you want something to make your heart warm go for it.
This one is really satisfying!! it's fast-paced, keeps hooked on the screen, and unlike other dramas, the villains don't get away, rather they get beat up at every step and it's soooo satisfying. The writers didn't save the villains for the end. This is the type of revenge drama that won't make your BP high, but rather only make you calm. whenever the villains come up with any malicious plot, their plans get smashed. This might not be a very well-made one but I love this one.
I'm on ep4, surely the ML knew about or already loved the FL before they originally met right? The way he knew…
I also think so. even on ep 1, how the ML interacted with the FL seemed like he had feelings for her. though not sure but i think ML was also in the accident, he was in that black car. he also got the second chance.
I already watched the movie "17 again". Though I loved the movie but don't know if I will enjoy this drama with the same plot. after watching 1.5 hour movie I am afraid that I may find this 16 episode format quite dragging. anyway will give it a try.
So if you are looking for actions only go for it but don't expect a story.
