so many negative comments… you really don’t know how to appreciate a good Japanese thriller, it’s well put together and very fun to watch, some reviews made me wonder if you were even paying attention to the plot, I laughed at someone complaining that it lacked a moral lesson, you guys make me laugh

This drama was pretty weak. I kept watching mostly for the fight and training scenes (which really were great), but even those started to fade as the episodes went on. The story is simple and predictable, you can see the ending coming from the start. The supporting characters are basically high-end extras, and this formula of introducing a new character every episode just to move the plot along only got in the way of developing the leads. Their dynamic never evolves, they’re both one-dimensional, and the protagonist’s loud, irresponsible, immature personality gets tiring fast.

In the end, the drama could have worked, but it got stuck in this drawn-out, go-nowhere rhythm without actually advancing the story. There were episodes to spare even though it’s a short series, because the director didn’t know how to make good use of either the plot or the time available.

To be fair, the last two episodes are genuinely great. Japan has this habit of rescuing dramas at the very end no matter how weak they were, and this was no different. They gave the leads more depth, brought in meaningful scenes, and delivered an ending consistent with what had been set up. But three really good episodes don’t make up for six mediocre ones. It’s a nice enough drama, entertaining, but not actually good.

unfortunately I had to drop it after the first episode, the whole idea is so dull and predictable that I had no desire to continue, and reading the comments now only makes me realize that quitting was the best choice I could’ve made, the protagonist is somewhat interesting, but very childish, and the plot itself is quite childish I’m not going to waste my time

It’s a cute little movie, charming, even, but you can definitely tell it’s a manga adaptation. You can feel it was meant to be something bigger, yet because of the limited runtime (since it’s a movie), the format just doesn’t allow the story to go deep enough. Everything ends up feeling rushed and a bit superficial. It’s a shame, because it promises a strong emotional weight that never really comes through. With different choices, maybe it could’ve gone deeper, but trying to cover everything from the manga made that superficiality inevitable (and I haven’t even read the manga). Still, it’s a sweet film with a mostly complete story and a cute couple. The acting isn’t the best, but the cinematography is gorgeous, and the cast, seriously, they’re all stunning. A nice film to pass the time.

i get it now, your problem is just stupidity, because the political plot isn’t even hard to understand lol, and the couple delivered one of the best kiss scenes of the year in episode 6, and you’re forcing it saying it was out of place, omg, another one with bad taste
