This is actually a very common misunderstanding in olden C-Dramas. Usually we'd only have to base off the fact that he said he hated her years ago. At least he even said he wish he had never met her on their first 6/7 years reunion. So I'm kind of shocked by the reactions here. lol

They couldn't communicate while he was at war obviously. They just met up again after 6/7 years now...And he just told her he wish he never met her. Back then, he also told her that he hates her. All this probably discouraged her from letting him know about their child now because she thinks he still hates her and want nothing to do with her anymore. Bringing up that they have a child together would make them have to be forever tied together. (Is what I'm hearing Chinese netizens explained)

He does not believe Boze is his dad...Did you not see the scene where the child said his father is somewhere far away? And ML was at war for all those years, obviously he can't even get to see the first milestones and first steps anyways...

Actors/Actresses are usually only presented up to 5 episodes on the script and then they would have to decide whether to play the role. I read the script and I can see why they decided to take upon this drama after 5 episodes. The director, editors and post-production crew are really the main blame for this drama. Nobody knew how bad these people were...I feel like everybody got scammed in this case.

I really can't with y'all. I read the script, and it's not how most of you guys are thinking based off the preview...That's unless if the Director and Editor screws it up again and changes/edits it wrong again. It's funny because on Chinese platforms, everyone is joking how Qingyi would want to be the father to Susu's son even if it wasn't his, since as long as it's Susu's child. And I see most people here hating on Susu when she was left as a single-mother with nobody else to count on(Her family is dead. Her friends can't be responsible for her child, and Qingyi's evil mother and sis wasn't gonna help), so Boze stepped up to support them just because it's his brother's child and his brother is away...The script I read had a scene where Qingyi privately asked the child who his father is and the child just responded: "I cannot say..." If Susu raised the child to believe Boze was his father, the child would not say that and would just say Boze, right? So unless the Director messes that part up again, don't blame the FL already.

August 1st is Army Day(PLA Day) for China, so that's why there's no episode released on that day.

Never have I wanted to watch a drama as badly as this one before. The visual pairing of Zhang Linghe and Wang Churan are just too insane.
