After all the sound and fury that happened in real life around this drama following the epic stab, it was all completely defused by the way YH accepted what happened and became determined to moved on. Her kickass style is back after her revival - that comedic moment with the Dark Lord completely punctured all possibility of melodrama in ep 17.
Did it work? Well it certainly was unexpected and brought a feeling of almost Zen calmness that's been missing ever since fan emotions went kablooie pre-and-during the stab. So perhaps there is hope for this drama to get back fully on track after all............
The showdown with SY was concluded a little too fast I thought...........they'll now have to find another main villain pronto. And YH's shifu was also very quickly taken down..........
Have to lah otherwise who knows how bonkers fans will become after a weekend with no episodes..........They really now have good reason to speed up release schedule.
Although I wonder if this happens with any other dramas around the world...........cdrama sometimes has so much real life drama going on , it can be more fascinating than the actual drama.
Ah but the writers should have done a better job building that up and showing us that.......
We could go on about this forever and ever - as the 1000+ comments show. What is done is done, what will be interesting will be to see how far this knocks back their relationship and how it's going to be fixed.

I think they went for the shock effect - otherwise for eg they could also have shown him cradling her instead of letting her fall like kaboom on the floor..........just a few little gestures would have been enough to signal something to the audience even if he has to be mute for whatever doofus reason.
π€£π€£π€£ so need that crossover! I said a few days ago I would like to think of this unofficial WOH spinoff..............he…
Not this dark practitionerlah - methinks he not good husband material, mucho issues.
But the dragon yes. Still Team Yao Yao even with his latest doofus behaviour. Just want to see her give him a few slaps for being such a cliche dumbass. Oh and of course have her turn stabbing him ...........all's fair in love and war.
Anyone else keep having the knee jerk expectation that, any minute now, Papa Wen Ke Xing is gonna show up and…

They're not called sects for nothing. I mean I know the word as used in cdrama (or at least cdrama translation)…
Ummm was thinking of starting Black Knight on Netflix. Dystopian sci-fi. Was watching The Ingenious One but kinda stalled and got sucked into BFTB π€£. Watching The Stealer every now and then - kdrama about civil service guy by day, Batman rescuer of stolen antiquities by night. Tale of the nine-tailed 1938 popped up and was watching the first ep. I need to concentrate on Kdrama subs a bit more than cdramas even tho my Mandarin is totally rudimentary. Currently, have Alchemy of Souls in the background - I generally return to it when I need a refuge from the illogicality of cdramas π. I saw that the Lotus Casebook might be starting soon? Also of course waiting for Kunning Palace.
Wow! People be writing their own novels and losingtheir minds. Lol! Same thing happening on Weibo. Maybe we should…
Crowdfund a fund to help xianxia addicts who can't tell reality from fiction any more? Or a fund to help xianxia addicts remember there's life beyond CPs?
