Hi below is what works for me and you only need to do all this if your account is originally registered in a blocked country like the USA. I use ExpressVPN .
1. Set your VPN server location to somewhere in Asia - so far India/Singapore works. Probably other places in Asia too ex Japan.
2. Then using the links that have been posted for the episodes just click on them and log into to your VIP account on iqiyi to watch. You only need VIP to watch the 6 latest episodes - earlier episodes should be free.
3. If you need to get the links for the episodes, you have to clear your cache so your browser doesn't remember your login. Then without logging into your account search for SoG on iqiyi and all the episodes should come up enabling you to get their links and save them for later. Only then do you log into your VIP account to watch the latest episodes.

IKR! They're so fond of portraying women and since this is c-drama, Chinese women, as potential Fatal Attraction psyhos, which speaking as a Chinese woman myself I find really pissing off. And yup, we can expect Cockroach Sis to return............what can one say - falling off a cliff in a c-drama might as well be code for "I'll be back" a la Terminator...

The 3 that you mentioned are good. But For Married Doctress which I thought would be one of those harmless fun things goes wonky in last few episodes....Sword Dynasty was another notable disappointment.

One would hope so - but with some of the shorter ones that are coming out lately - they're still losing the plot and doing unnecessary massacres of fave characters or drastically changing the tone of the drama in the last episodes...........dunno why it's so hard for them to keep some artistic and plot integrity

Yes, that was my first return to c-dramas after not having watched them since the height of HK TVB days and I loved it. Too bad they didn't stick to the original novel and did a crappy, oops-we-lost-the-plot ending............although still not as bad as the WTF cliffhanger in Princess Agents!

To be fair to Cockroach Sis the writer surprisingly gave her a role in saving Pengcheng. It feels like the writer is trying to nuance all the characters a little, but unfortunately only a little - I don't feel the depth of character exploration that we see with the Crown Prince villain in Rise of Phoenixes for eg. where after a while you almost felt sorry for the guy during his downfall.

There's the under the sea scene in Love of Thousand Years..........the two leads had pretty great chemistry in that drama

It's pitiful and exasperating - every time there's an immersion in harem politics in these dramas, you become so aware of these trapped women with nothing to do except be bitchy baby machines. It'll be a relief when they move on to the battlefield in a few episodes.

You mean where she pirouetted, saved the falling bowl and administered the antidote via kiss of life to Pengcheng? That was pretty cool!

Depends on what you mean by exposed. This is one drama where everyone knows she's doing bad things throughout cos Lige is constantly exposing her. If you mean when she gets her comeuppance - not sure - she's surviving like a cockroach for the moment. There is a scene where she falls off a cliff - but as you know in c-drama if you fall off cliff you can still miraculously survive if the writer decides to resurrect you............
