Based on comsec on xhs she wrote a whole essay but one line set many off, smth like “if I cause you distress, put your phone down and focus on real life" .Don’t quote me on this but def smth within these lines. That hit a nerve with the fanbase of the novel trying to protect it from getting butchered. They were coming for her with smth like" this isn’t about you/not only about you or the billing", this is about the story and to protect the main fem character. Then it turned into how the novel didn’t even have male char. that were big n so on. I get what she meant, but she was stepping on a minefield and where she needed to be more careful with every word. Sayin this she hits some note with the novel's fans acussing her for not getting them and what they were trying to protect.

Yea ...no to that. It’s too risky for him. If the drama’s good, casuals will watch cause they don’t care about the novel. But this fanbase seems loud and loyal to the source, and if they see big changes, they’ll come hard. That kind of noise can even turn off casuals, cause this goes beyond just novel as i see it and it's the usual male vs. female role stuff. I’ve skipped adaptation when they literally butched the books I love, and this may happen here. Dudu didn’t help today..she maybe even made it worse for some...at least based on comm i saw today. So yeah… I’m more inclined for him to skip this, but if he alredy signed, then ...sigh. Wouldn’t be surprised if producers and writers write YA' characters in a way to absorb some hate toward the ml.
