Hey, this drama doesn’t even have a poster yet. Let's wait until there's some material before we judge everyone. If the director puts you off that much, you can choose to boycott all of his dramas, or if you want to hate-watch, please at least wait for the trailer. There are still people waiting to watch this for other reasons, like the script and the cast. We already know the director's level, so we've kept our expectations low. But if we still want to watch then worry/scare isn't helping anyone during the filming period waiting

There are many beauties here. I see many WCR fans prefer the Sha Lou-Zimiao pairing over the official couple.…
The Warring States arc is the most annoying, followed by a Republican Era demon case. The Tang Dynasty arc is actually quite sweet. If they really film all the romance plots from the script, then I think you'll be satisfied. But I can not guarantee the final script is the same

Romance is not just about intimate scenes but also flirting, longing, making each other better, and serve angst...; they don't have many intimate scenes, like kiss scenes, but have decent scenes together. In Xianxia, they did not even have scenes together and it's super short so I don't consider it annoying

Based on the leaked script, I think they have decent times together, but it's not a pure romance story. It also doesn't have too many intimate scenes if you consider it a standard ancient romance, probably fewer than Chasing Dream. The two most annoying arcs are all being filmed recently, with the first one wrapping up right before the second one, which is the Warring States arc. Wait until you see some close scenes between Ao Chi and Chu Jing if they are filming outdoors.

Leaked scenes for this drama are few in general, since they're mostly filming indoors. And one of the reasons you don't see many leaks of the main CP is because the main actors' fans don't get along with each other. Even if the two have scenes together, fans will cut the other person out of the frame

Like I said before, in the first half of this arc, Zimiao and Sha Lou are in a husband-and-wife setting, so of course they'll be together all the time lmao, if not, why would I say it's going to be annoying?

I don't really care about ZM, so I don't usually watch his fan-taken videos, but since you asked, I tried to watch it (I watch mostly Ao Chi's leaks now). The scene is a bit different from the script I have, so I can't say for sure it's this exact scene because there should be many other characters here too, not just Sha Lou and Zimiao. In this scene, the demon tries to possess ZM (though actually, this is all part of ZM's plan). To kill the demon, Ao Chi, Sha Lou, and the others need to attack ZM. ZM then falls down, and Sha Lou wants to save him, so she sends her demon energy into him. The demon then moves into Sha Lou's eyes. She kills it, but ends up losing her eyesight

I don't care about Zimiao, so I don't watch his reuters (I'm mostly an Ao Chi fan now haha), but in the script there is a scene where he performs a heroic act to save everyone (but it's just his plan). When Ao Chi, Sha Lou, etc. need to attack him to kill the demon, then Sha Lou saves him and loses her eyesight. It seems like reuters is a bit different when only Sha Lou and Zimiao here so there might be some change in final script

CZY is filming in two groups today, group A: Warring States arc and Group B: should be about the reshoot of action scenes for Cangzhu

Cheng Xiao will have more filming days in the first half of the Warring States arc, since it's about a group of people trapped together because of a demon that kills them one by one (But it's mostly indoor). When you see her character change clothes, that means that arc is done, and after that, her character becomes less important with very few scenes left, which means she's almost wrapped up

Chen Zhe Yuan fan don't need to worry too much. I think his acting (base on leaks) and Ao Chi character (very good character) can save any bad directing. And i don't like people complain so much about a drama that you don't even have poster yet. A drama is not just about director and he also has decent works. And Overdo's problem is not just the director. If you hate Yi Jun, just vent at his current bad work then wait until it Fusheng's turn to judge

What do you mean by "love scene"? If it's the bed scene when they first meet, then yes, they filmed it already

Yeah, we can only continue to support the team. All criticism can wait until the serie is released; everything will become clear then. PS: I hate forced kisses; it's sexual harassment for me. There is nothing romantic about that. I can accept light-force love, like a male lead creating situations that force a female lead to stay close with him but do not involve physical harassment or moral wrongness and harm others.

He's devoted but not pathetic. Early on, when Sha Lou rejected his feelings, he accepted it and never forced her to return his affection. However, thanks to his charm and kindness, Sha Lou couldn't help but gradually come to accept her own feelings for Ao Chi. Their 'career clash' is also intriguing. Ao Chi is just a human (before regain his dragon power or even after regain power he still want to live as human), yet his wit and intelligence allow him to go toe-to-toe with a demon like Sha Lou, who is thousands years old

I hope people don't feel too discouraged about the director and end up missing this drama, because the male and female leads in this drama are really good. Especially the male lead, Ao Chi. He is a green flag. A young marshal in the Republican Era, but a green flag. Isn't that refreshing? He never force-kisses Sha Lou (two kisses were initiated by Sha Lou, two kisses were consensually initiated, and one kiss was initiated by Ao Chi); he's very gentle and loving toward her. If he says something a bit harsh to her during conflicts about Zimiao's raise or accidentally attacks her, he will apologize to her right away. He respects and encourages her dream to be free. Even when he's jealous, he never loses his cool. The scenes where he attacks Zimiao don't stem from jealousy, but rather from a personal feud between the two of them.

No, different scriptwriter, different production company too. Like I said, things like editing, music, CGs, promotion will be outsourced; not all of it is because of the director. Except for big directors who have more control, Chinese directors mostly control cinematography, camera work, plot flow, and pacing. Fusheng's script is okay, not cheesy, at least with the draft script that I read

Well, well, well.... who is here after realizing that this is the same director as Overdo? Are we scared yet?…
To be honest, the problem with Overdo isn't just the director. The plot itself is incredibly cheesy. The whole family drama involving the male lead feels like something I've randomly come across in countless TikTok clips; I can't even count how many similar audio dramas I've heard with the exact same storyline. I think they were aiming for that short-drama style, but it doesn't quite land.

They rewrote the novel plot and removed the red-flag setting from the male lead, but still tried to keep the typical dominant CEO short-drama style like forced kisses and over-the-top dialogue that make his character feels out of place without a clear image. As a result, the female lead ends up becoming the red-flag character instead, making her less likable and causing viewers to feel less sympathy for her compared to the novel

The dialogue is also super cringe, which makes it nearly impossible for the actors to deliver a natural performance.

That said, the director really isn't very skilled, but his historical works have never been this bad before. The Princess's Gambit's directing is ok; it's just the writing that is so bad. So I'm hoping Fusheng falls into the better half of his portfolio. Also, aspects like editing, music, and promotional materials including that AI-generated intro are usually handled by an outsource production company, so we can't pin the entire failure on the director.

And Fusheng hasn't even wrapped filming yet, not even one poster come out so let's not doom-post just yet, haha.
