Excellent Actors, poor production
Excellent actors, truly enjoy ZLH and WCR. But sadly the drama itself did not live up to the clips on IG/Tiktok. I am anticipating something high budget and spectacular... gripping and intense.... but ended up with heavy plot, terrible editing, awkward music and camera angle that distract the experience. I do hope the director would take the criticism and make something better. I am pleased with the new intro btw, but should've done that in the first place before the backlash.Was this review helpful to you?
On top of that, Wang Churan and Cheng Lei are absolutely delightful to watch. Their performances feel natural, engaging, and their comedic timing is spot on.
After being disappointed by Overdo (which, to be clear, wasn't the actors' fault), I'm so glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Hopefully it keeps up this momentum!
