Your everyday chinese romcom drama but part of the very few that works so well!!

One of the best light chinese romantic dramas i've watched over the years.

The most important thing I would have to say is that this drama really did well with the flirting and the main lead's chemistry without overdoing it nor making it cringey. Also, I give it extra points for the fact that it's a male chase female drama, he treated her really well from the beginning, showed her like a man that he liked her from the start without playing hard to get nor forcing her to like him; he wasn't your typical cold tsundere type, another thing is that both leads are smart n pretty cool. I loved how the female lead wasn't dumb or naive, she was bold and cute at the same time, she stands up for herself and is ambitious, hard-working and confident in herself. She cares about her friends and is always ready to help people with their problems especially regarding her work in the law firm.

I loved all the side stories, the scriptwriters did really well on giving enough time to explain every story and the background of the supporting roles because I've seen dramas where they didn't contribute as much time for the supporting roles and some conflicts and background stories seemed forced. I was so into the second couple, they were super cute, the guy was caring to the girl and she helped him overcome her past love.

I liked how there wasn't really a super evil antagonist scheming to ruin anyone lives apart from the little jealousy they all got over in a couple of eps. So, it's suitable for anyone who is craving something sweet and lighthearted without getting stressed. The drama is consistent and interesting without any major evil problematic plot, light and allows you to understand the hard work doctors and lawyers go through as well as people who go through struggles chasing their dreams or finding what they really want to do in their independent adult lives.

I'm very picky with my dramas and have different standards for dramas from different countries including korean, japanese, taiwanese, thailand and more. I don't tend to focus or notice music as much for chinese dramas (i just skip the intro), but I believe they did well in evoking the atmosphere for each scene and made me immersed. I also don't tend to rewatch dramas and I can even count the number of dramas I've rewatched (maybe around 6 lol), but this one is definitely worth watching for first-timers and rewatching.
